I understand the mother, but I don't as well. Ughh

I feel so bad for Cheng Shao Shang. She grew up being bullied and abused in her home by her own people. She learnt to protect herself from those situations by her own means. And, now when she felt she would be protected by her parents, her mom just goes out and abuses her further. What the mother doesn't get is that CSS needs love and safety, not abuse in the name of "discipline".

I get that she wants to teach her proper manner and all that, but THERE IS ALWAYS A BETTER WAY. She's your freaking daughter, not your soldier who you used to discipline using physical force. Like come on, DO BETTER! You are supposed to be the smart one here. ?

Wan (London) Bridge Falling Down

Jun 5, '23 -- CSS' punishment doesn't go un-noticed by A'Yao -- like a loyal puppy he follows CSS as she is exiled by her mother CY. Again the relationship between her and 3rd Uncle & Aunt is well heartfelt.

Jul'23 -- I'm loving the Laughing General Ling Buyi. Shocked at Lady’ Cheng Yuayi & CSS hard headed; refuses to bend attitude that leads to the Military Punishment and exile of CSS to live with 3rd Uncle & Aunt – CSS exiled to Hua County. And who is the tattletale??? Is Grandma Wan the wiser or did Ling Buyi tattle on CSS? LOL at LBY sending medicine, CSS blames him for tattling on her and dumps medicine calls LBY ‘the disaster deity’ and possible spy/spies in the manner? A lot going on in this episode and love it all.


Shout out to Qing Cong – caring sworn sister of Lady Cheng Yuayi... the episode had me rolling with chuckles... hahahah.

It's A Deal Then

This is a roller coaster episode, after the laughs from the plot of Shaoshang for the bridge and the understanding with eyes only between Shaoshang and Buyi (a mutual understanding I must say lol maybe a mental telepathy between future lovers hehehehehe) their stare at each other from a distance is perfect aaaaaaaaaa then the moods switches to a serious one and a heart wrenching scene, it made me tear and emotional for the mother and father scene, her mother Yuanyi clearly cares for her but Yuanyi doesn't know how to show it to Shaoshang if she is in front of her. Agree with Qingcong when she said that Yuanyi and Shaoshang both might look stubborn but has the kindest heart (I think this would be much proved in the future episodes for both of them as the story unravels). A switch of mood is also seen to lighten and it gave me laughs as well, wonder how this cute misunderstanding would progress lol and special thanks for Qiu Fei for the latest update anything regarding Cheng Shaoshang lol...Can't wait for next week, Hua County here we goooooooooo- and additional info this time the military punishment goes to Bai Fengxi- ooopppsss goes to Shaoshang hehehhe
