IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR COMEDY-ROMANCE, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU >>>
I barely write a review here in mydramalist, but I wanna put one for this drama, because it's just so good. The main plot is for sure depressing (and I did cry a lot everytime Dali cries because of her father), but the comedy and romance were really done good. It was not over the top nor lacking, it was just the right amount and more.
I get it why some people are so heated because the ending of the villains were not thorough enough. It's not the typical ending of the villains were they end up in jail or they end up crazy, which for sure is kind of annoying, because I want to see them villains rot in hell too.
Nonetheless, I appreciate everything. I loved watching every second of it. The character development of the protagonists were soooo goood. Muhak and Dali would go down as two of my fave characters. Muhak knows what's right and he stands up for it, and while Dali might look weak and 'too nice', no one in the drama succeeded in gaslighting her. She is really bright and someone to root for as an FL.
Comedy + romance + heartwarming family drama + food!!! what could I ask for more? A solid 10 for me despite its shortcomings. <3

WHAT A TREASURE!!
Jadi, aku nonton ini itu tanpa punya ekspektasi apapun sama dramanya dan wow it's such a beautiful and entertaining drama!!Setelah hometown cha-cha-cha, agak males sebenarnya nonton drakor, udah ada 5 drakor yang ditonton setelah Homcha dan ga satupun berhasil dihabisin. Nonton ini juga ga expect apapun sebenarnya malah mikir keknya bakal drop lagi seperti drama-drama sebelumnya. Eh, setelah mulai nonton malah ga bisa berhenti, berhasil dibikin ngakak, gemes, dan kesel.
Storylinenya bagus, penulisnya aku kasih jempol buat ceritanya.
Kim Min Jae did a really gob job portraying the pure but confident Moohak, aku ga berhenti ketawa setiap dia ngelucu atau melakukan hal-hal bodoh tapi merasa terharu juga karena Moohak sebenarnya orang baik mau menerima Dali apa adanya. Buat Wontak, i love his acting so much. Sudah ngikutin Hwang Hee dari beberapa series and he is a verstile actor can playing various roles and did a great job to all of them. Dan aku senang karena penulisnya ga maksa Wontak untuk jadi 'orang ketiga' dari kisah cintanya Dali-Moohak dan nunjukkin kalau cowok dan cewek itu emang bisa berteman. Satu lagi, buat orang-orangnya Moohak, Yeo Biseo dkk. dan pegawai-pegawai Chongsong, i'm gonna give y'all a lot of hearts cuz you guys nailed it dan nambahin rasa ke drama ini.
Untuk musik, OSTnya bagus-bagus dan background musik semua cocok dengan adegannya, so, gaada yang mengganggu aku dalam hal musik karena semuanya emang pada tempatnya. Overall, i love this show so much dan ini cukup underrated juga sepertinya jadi i recommend it to all of you who's craving for a good rom-com drama. Terima kasih.

Amazing Soundtrack
I loved the show but it’s been months since I watched and I’ve still been listening to the OST! I feel that the songs they chose did a great job of protesting the characters feelings. Just wanted to say that and encourage you all to support the artists featured on the OST!My favorite song from the drama is Gift by Chai both the Korean and English versions are excellent. She has such a beautiful voice. It’s been added to my wedding day soundtrack for when that happens, even though I’m super single right now.
One Day It Will Be by Ian Hug and Seoho is also really great too. It’s such a sweet song and both artists have beautiful voices. It’s make me feel like it’s a sunny day!

Adorable Couple... NOT a sweet and fluffy romantic comedy
Completed - 12/11/2021 - 8.25 rounding up to 8.5Before watching this drama, I was under the impression that this is a funny romantic comedy. Well, we do have a cute and sweet couple, but the second half of this drama is not light and fluffy. Is it good or bad that the story becomes more serious? That is up to the watcher to decide. Personally, I was looking for something different. I wanted to see Dali's growth and struggles in continuing with the management of the art museum in a more rom-com storytelling.
As a fan of Kim Min Jae (ML), I am glad to see him in a different role. I've liked him since Dr. Romantic 1+2, Flower Crew and especially in Do You Like Brahms? He has great comedic timing in his role as Jin Moo Hak, and I love his embarrassed smiles. I was initially afraid that JMH might be too over-the-top for my taste. But I love his character and his flashy suits. He might seem crude and uneducated, but he's such a smart, funny and caring guy inside.
I've seen Park Gyu Young (FL) in other dramas but she's only in a minor/supporting role. I have yet to watch The Devil Judge and probably won't see her in Sweet Home. I really enjoy her acting as our female lead, Dali. Dali appears shy, reserved and refined but there's so much inner strength inside of her. You can see that little tigress inside of her whenever she is at the police station. The teenage Dali is still there, waiting to come out at the right time. Dali has grown so much from the episode until the last episode.
Our main couple complements each other so well. I really like what Dali said that you should be with someone you love and not someone who is like you. Both of them are smart and actually think about what others said and come up with their own conclusions. They did not get bullied into a corner, whether it's because of business or love. The chemistry is great and they are so cute together(love the kisses as well) We don't see too many of lovey-dovey moments, therefore, I can accept the cheese and cringe when we get them. I also love that Dali, though refined and reserved, is not afraid to take the initiative to show any physical affection, and always catches Moo Hak off guard. You go girl!
As I mentioned, I do not quite enjoy the serious tone of the second half of the drama. I felt that the side story of Dali's cousin + Senator Ahn + Jin Family lasted too long. There isn't enough tension or suspense to keep me entertained, and it wasn't difficult to guess who the big bad wolf is.
However, I wouldn't say I don't like this drama. There's enough to keep me entertained and laughed out loud. Our leads convinced me in giving this a generous 8.5 but I was tempted to give it an 8.0. Dali and Moo Hak have become one of my favorite modern drama couples.
Other Observations:
1. They played the OST quite often, esp. in the first few episodes. The songs are played all the time to get you into the mood.
2. Love ML's amazing suits, thus, they do tone it down a little towards the end of the drama.
3. Most of Dali's dresses are quite unique and nice. But a few of them make her look like an old lady.
4. Why do they always make important phone calls out in the open for anyone to eavesdrop?
5. Definitely no second-lead syndrome here.

I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this drama. It doesn't break new ground in the romantic comedy genre but the two protagonists are so charming and nice that I found myself rooting for them. Plus Dali's wardrobe is amazing. The male lead actor manages to make his character attractive despite being uncultured and sometimes cringingly obtuse. Some of the funniest scenes involved his interactions with Dali's street smart and wiser police friend. A light and fluffy but ultimately satisfying drama.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A must watch for those who love romantic comedies
Why I didn't this drama a 10? I usually reserve a 10 for those dramas that have a unique story and are memorable. This drama will be "memorable" but the story was not unique enough to be a 10. Thus.. a 9.5 rating.Overall, I couldn't find many faults with this drama, as long as a viewer, one is willing to overlook minor flaws such as recanting of previous stories and side plots that feel like a time filler.
This drama had a flavor of "Encounter". I loved the "artistic" aspect of this drama and especially how the ending of a scene was framed as brush strokes of a painting.,, Sort of a constant reminder that the drama was about a museum.
In many dramas the comedic part is usually at the beginning and lasts for few episodes. Then the usual conflict take over as our heroes work out the issues. In this case, the comedy was sprinkled throughout the drama till the end and was unique and clever from my perspective.
I loved the Dali character. She maintained her composure no matter what situation was thrown at her. I also loved the sexual tension present between FL & ML. Personally, I thought this drama was mature enough to address the nature of sexual relations in very nice comedic manner. In general, other dramas tend to handle the topic of sex like a teenager.
MooHak did a fantastic job of showing vulnerable and yet sensitive side to his nature. He was clear.. i.e money is money and love is love. He wasn't afraid to admit that he was stupid and poked fun at himself. For example.. my favorite line: Capitol of India ... Indonesia.
I can write pages of analysis on this drama... But the biggest take way.. comedy balanced the heaviness of Dali. Uneducated people showed more class than so called rich people with class.
Spoiler Alert and skip this paragraph if you are not ready!! I was annoyed and yet pleased that the writer/director did not follow the usual pattern of a breakup followed by a makeup. Although the writer/director led us to believe this trope was happening but it was handled in some more accepting ways and consistent with the story line. So.. I forgive the writer/director for this flagrant violation of playing with our emotions.
Please watch this drama and go to bed with a smile having spent time being entertained till the end!!
Until next time... be well.

one of the best kdrama
The comedic moments in "Dali and the Cocky Prince" are executed flawlessly, providing plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. The omelet eating scenes are a particular standout, inducing laughter until your stomach hurts. The show's ability to balance humor with heartfelt emotions is truly commendable, making it a great choice for those seeking a light-hearted and enjoyable romantic comedy. What sets this drama apart is the way it captures the essence of intense love. The romance between Dali and the cocky prince is palpable, with their emotional connection developing gradually and organically. As their relationship deepens, viewers can't help but root for their happiness, eagerly anticipating each heart-fluttering moment.
The production values of "Dali and the Cocky Prince" are also noteworthy. The vibrant cinematography, aesthetically pleasing set designs, and beautiful wardrobe choices contribute to an immersive viewing experience. The attention to detail in creating a visually appealing world further enhances the overall enjoyment of the drama.
While "Dali and the Cocky Prince" does have its share of clichés and predictable plot elements, the compelling performances and genuine chemistry between the lead actors make up for any shortcomings. The supporting cast members also deserve praise for their contributions in adding depth and humor to the narrative.
In conclusion, "Dali and the Cocky Prince" is a delightful Korean drama that seamlessly blends romance and comedy. The series will leave you laughing, crying, and rooting for the charming characters. If you're in the mood for a heartwarming and entertaining show that will make you laugh until your stomach hurts, this drama is definitely worth a watch.

Heartwarming and fun
I liked how Darli’s character was written. She’s level headed and strong. With all the hardships she had she was able to overcome it. Moo Hak’s playfullness and not being to bright balances Darli’s calm demeanor. A lot of funny and heartbreaking moments which makes the series great. The Min Jae and Gyu Young’s chemistry was really good. Supporting characters also did well and portrayed their roles really well. Won Tak and Moo Hak’s secretary are my favority side characters. Their loyalty and care for the main leads are epic. I highly recommend as this series is definitely worth the watch.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Because blood is not always thicker
Joo Won-Tak asks: “The capital of India?”Jin Moo-Hak replied: “Indonesia!”
Wkwkwk.... I'm laughing. The Korean drama Dali and Cocky Prince is really entertaining. The romance scene between Kim Da Li and Jin Moo Hak was so hilarious that it made me laugh.
I came to understand the selection of Park Gyu-Young as Kim Da-Li. As an actress who has never been lined up as the main character, Park Gyu-Young managed to play Kim Da Li smoothly.
Meanwhile, actor Kim Min-Jae who often gets the main role, it's really strange if he doesn't succeed in playing Jin Moo-Hak, a ridiculous rich director because of his lack of academic education.
Music and cinematography also really spoil the audience. Coupled with the writernim's expertise in composing coherent and curious scenes in each episode, the Korean drama Dali and Cocky Prince is really recommended for those who need entertainment.
If there's a critique, it's a cliché scene like suddenly the lights go out and the two main characters find each other overlapping, naked, when the lights suddenly come on again.
Is it okay? Just a little bit. ️

True to it's title, it's really about DaLi and the cocky prince
After seeing the first episode, I'm thinking maybe this is not for me. But to my surprise, I was hooked by the next episode.True to it's title, it's really about DaLi and the cocky prince. It was fun to see their contrast turns to complement each other. He's crass but endearingly funny. She's class but surprisingly not snobby.
Watching this is so much fun and refreshing enjoyable. Even the OSTs good..
If there's one thing I don't get, it's her Ex.. left her almost at the altar. Then became so obsessed to get her back. He did some terrible things and he still expected that he can win her back.. Anyway, its a really good show..

Very unique, quirky and a definite MUST WATCH!
From the first episode, I completely adored Jin Moo Hak (ML). He’s not your typical dramaland CEO - he comes off unrefined and undignified; he speaks his mind too abruptly, he likes to shout lol and his dressing was a tad too loud for me haha.. BUT everything that comes out from his mouth rings so true! He has such wisdom and a heart of gold- although his general knowledge of the world is quite atrociously bad!! Loolllll.. Hats off to Kim Min Jae who acted the role so well!!!The storyline is a good one- a very well blended mix of humour, conspiracy, romance/ love and family relationships. The funny parts are really funny... I haven’t laughed this much since ... ?? What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?? The romance and relationship development between Kim Dali and JMH was SO GOOD! They are completely opposites- in terms of personality, background, family and simply they way they project themselves. Even all her close friends and colleagues couldn’t believe that she would date him! [the scene where they tell Won Tak about their relationship- it’s the funniest ever!!]
The only thing I didn’t quite like was how the writers always tried to “trick” the audience into thinking something else. And how the scenes would flashback so very often to reveal the truths. After awhile it got predictable and a little cliche. Other cliches would be the overbearing loud stepmother and the unnecessary kdrama crying sensations ... lol.
All in all it was very quirky cute and unique! A definite definite must watch!! :):):)
