Review of episode 2

This episode explored the theme of how being intelligent helps even when you were of a low social class. Dong Yi was at first rejected by the upper class lady for new year greetings because she was lowborn, but after she displayed her knowledge of hanji, the lady not only accepted her for new year greetings but approved her as well.

This episode explored the theme of social unjust. The sword fraternity was founded because they wanted to help the slaves find meanings in life. Though they were innocent of the murder of the nobles, they were framed by the yangbang to take the blame of murdering the nobles and they were captured by the police as a result.
