A perfect lovey dovey drama with aperfect ending !!!

What is so perfect abt the second season??????
1.After loosing her / his memory it was not hectic to watch & was maintained as a temporary part.
2. The Al into human .
3. Finally a good friendship bond between Xiao qi &jiang shiyi at the end rather competing with Fang leng
4 . A most perfect ending ever , a happy and complete family for our earthlings ?
5. Both fang leng , xiaoqi & fang lie , xiaobu got to spend a lot of good time with each other .

6. The AI xiobu into human & with high temperature into tortoise and coming back to normal form when cool down in ice or in water ..... both xiaobu & his child having same feature.
7. Fang leng & xioqi having 2 childrens which are carbon copy to them ??

It's really worth it . Actually the first drama I had watch was the first season of my girlfriend is an alien . I was really touched by the story as well as the acting. My love for dramas a started from here. So when I heard that there will be a 2nd season I was really very excited and also very curious if it would live up to my standard of the first season. For me the first season was really very good. I started believing in love bcz of this. So plz anyone who have not watched it go and watch it. The 2nd season is also very good . The story is also good. We can relate it some where with the first season. So plz do watch this drama season 1 and 2. It will be worth it ?.

STICK WITH S1!!! season 2... just mehhh

I have a different opinion than the ones who rate a 9 or 10 and say its really good fluffy rom com. There are definitely parts where its super funny and sweet.

This drama is pretty predictable, the the plot being very choppy. This one really didnt have much of a storyline besides trying to get the pheromones perfume. Its basically the female lead chasing the male lead ( who didnt like her at first), then eventually falling in love, some sweet moments, seperation, third male lead trying to interrupt, memory loss for the female, male chasing the female, more seperation...

points i liked
1) The factor that the female lead is attracted to the male lead by the phermones and she collects them in her ring, which is cute :)
2) the two lead's relationship. they are a cute couple and have decent chemistry. Also like the 2nd leads, they are also super cute!
3) the songs were really good! love Bie's singing <3
things that were iffy
1) it was sorta cute that the female lead kept squeezing the male lead's chest muscles ( but at the same time isnt that like sexual harassment lol )
2) that they always split and come back
3) annoying third male lead trying to sabotage the relationship

This is basically the reboot of My Girlfriend Is an Alien 1. It's just as silly and the plot just as juvenile as before. A romcom of this genre does not really need a sensible plot, at least as long as the entertainment is steady and up until the last 25% it mostly is, though I did feel it drag and repeat itself, but it's not too bad. ML's acting & chemistry with FL has improved tremendously from before & I found the love triangle less annoying, since the second ML is a straight up cartoon villain in the final episodes & has very inconsequential, skippable scenes until then.

There is a tremendous amount of fluff & fun bickering in this show. What annoyed me though is that the romances -even by cdrama romcom standards- are just too shallow.

The final episodes preceding the 30 min long happy ending were basically trash, but since the entertainment value until then was decent, I decided to rate it at 6.5.

its the same story we'll get tired and bored of watching the same stuff

the ending in S1 was good so i was so happy to see S2 but after started to watch this everything went to vain. ITS JUST THE SAME. i completed it just because of the actors . seeing S1 is enough its makes us feel good ,makes us cry, laugh, love......but when we start seeing S2 we will just think of dropping it.
EXPECTED A MORE BUT THE STORY FAILED. i usually try not to drop anything because "what if there is something special coming " this made me to watch it fully but nothing special happen .
When we think of the S1 ending of second male lead its was good we will think that their story will be continued but when it came to S2 they completely changed what happened in S1 THAT WAS A BIT SAD.

The best way I can describe this is that it is a fanfiction remake of the first season. You can't really call this a sequel because it did not continue the story from the previous season and while it did have mild mentions and references to the first season you could watch this without ever watching the first. This took the basic premise of the first season and just redid it, albeit they did it better but its still just a remake.

Things to note going into this from the first is that the characters all have a dramatic change to them. These will not be the characters you got familiar with previously. The personalities are all very different, again to me it felt so much like watching a fanfiction. In comparison to the last season this season had better cinematography, wardrobe, and story line. It executed the story in a more straight forward way this time and focused a lot on the relationship growth.

That being said it was almost too fluffy for my taste. You can't take any of it serious, including the antagonists as they are so over the top and silly. The romances, this focuses on two romances this time, do progress fairly naturally and have their cute moments throughout. But there isn't anything about this series that makes it great. If you just want something that you can turn your brain off for and will make you smile occasionally then this will be it for you. If you want something that will hit your emotions or leave a lasting impression then you won't find that here.

As expected this season was interesting and fun to watch

Season 1 was an emotional rollercoaster. Cried a lot watching season 1. But season 2 was more fun to watch. Only a few scenes made me cry. In last season Fang Leng's character was cold and we didn't get much chance to see his sweeter side. But in this season he wasn't that much cold and showed his sweeter and cuter sides more. This season had more romantic and sweet scenes of our main leads. Xaioqi's character was cute and adorable like last season. Wang Peng's acting as an alien is on an another level. Her expressions and dialogues were really funny. Some of the scenes of Xaioqi really gave second hand embarrassment but she really acted the role very well. Chemistry between the main leads was very romantic and sweet. There was more comedy scenes and dialogues. Friendship between Xaioqi , Xaiobu and sister Chai was heartwarming. They really felt like a family. Missed the friendship between Xaioqi and Fang Lie like last season. Second lead character's romance was also interesting. It was a good choice to turn Xaiobu to human. Jiang Shiyi's character also portrayed all his emotions for Xaioqi perfectly. Overall everyone acted very well and gave us the best rom com drama to watch. Even though there was repeated scenes from season 1 but never felt boring watching this drama. It was a sweet and dreamy experience watching both seasons. I will never regret watching this drama and always will be my favorite one. Thanks to the makers for making such an awesome rom com fantasy drama.

AN OUT OF THIS WORLD ROMCOM DRAMA ALL THE WAY TO THE CAPE TOWN PLANET ❤️

Season 1 is the out of this world and I can never really forhet it and became one of my most favorite Chinese Drama of all, and talking about this season 2 , What I saw is what I got! , I wish I could write a review for each season of this one.
I never thought that season 2 would this be beautiful plus I really loved the OST, this drama is so light, and I really like the parts when there are bad things happen bit suddenly it turns into something funny !
I loved the character of Xiaoqi from the very beginning her innocence and pure hearted, I think I would also fall inlove with her! and I am glad they did not removed her funny moments convincing Feng Leng that she was her girlfriend when Feng Leng forgot about her.
I am glad that they did not add too many parts where Feng Leng have to forget Xiaoqi, but rather they made xiaoqi forgot her live to Feng Leng to make some changes
I just love Feng Leng and Xiaoqi, they are not awkward to each other, they are easy to watch and so os fluttering, I loved every moments they have from quarreling to kissing .. EVERYTHING !
I liked them adding Shiyi to the story, He is the Villian you can never hate ! and he is so handsome, I got annoyed by him but I understood him loving Xiaoqi from the start
I was really happy that Xiaobu got a human body and her moments with Feng Lieng is really funny and cute.
The new Mr. Han actor really did a great job ! I personally liked mpre the season 1 Mr. Han Actor but I also don't hate the Mr. Han here, and I am happy that they made so many exposure for Him in the story because at the previous season Mr. Han there has minimal parts and has not really contributed to the main characters that much as Mr. Han in this season. Mr. Han is my favorite Character and I am always looking at his parts here and If I ma to choose what character I want to be is , It will be Mr. Han
At first I did not understand why they had to come back to year 2018, but as I watched all of the episodes, they have re started the love story to make it even stronger and I saw that Xiaoqi has became the cure of Feng Leng's heterosexual Amnesia.
my most favorite Episode is almost every episode because they are just so funny and fluttering ! but episode 29 had me crying so so much ! from Xiaoqi leaving Feng Leng and Mr. Han resigning to become an author , OMG that really made my heart felt the story and the situation and so if I am to ask what is my favorite episode, It will be episode 29, because Loving kissing happy moments are there but in the times where the characters are being shaken thats the most crucial part, part of realization, regrets, learnings and parts where they have to endure and fight to overcome the situation and will lead to happy anding and that is what I like the most !
I did not regret seeing this drama, season 1 alone is complete and this season even made the story complete, nothing more nothing less. they really did a great job here.
see you again Feng Leng and Xiaoqi if the season 3 you have mentines you have wished on the new year at the last part is true. ❤️❤️❤️

Forever one of my favs!

This was the first asian drama I had ever watched (Season 1). It started out with a small clip of this show that I seen on YouTube and from there I knew I needed to check this drama out.

I was hooked from beginning to ending! I enjoyed the chemistry between the main leads and the story never got laggy or boring. Wan Peng is also one of my fav Chinese actresses so I love watching things with her in it.

The only complaint I have about this show is the kisses can be a little stiff, the actors still have awesome chemistry but the kisses can definitely be a little flat in my opinion. This still doesn't take it out of my favorites list though, and typically that is something that annoys me.

Highly recommend giving it a watch! I read somewhere that a season 3 might be in the works!

I had high expectations for this second season, because the first one involved me a lot. Ok, this is good. The essence of the story and characters was maintained. Everything is pretty much the same, with some evolutions, and no, it doesn't bother me. It's sweet, with some heartwarming moments. I think Xiaoqi and Fang Leng had more time actually dating and being a couple than in the previous season. But if everything was so perfect and good, why couldn't I feel the same? In fact, I couldn't get involved and excited or wait anxiously for the next episode. Watching it very slowly, having to wait a week for new episodes, put me off a little bit. But I don't think that's the only reason I didn't like it so much. I don't really have any solid reviews, it's more of a personal thing. The ending was also very cute.
Well, I'm thinking of rewatching it someday along with the first season to see if I can fall in love again.

Nothing new from season one

I was eagerly waiting for this new season. I had lot of hopes when they announced the release of new season. The first season was ended on a perfect scenario where both the leads ended up together. And the next season starts by showing their marriage suddenly chai xiaoqi enter into a new time zone and meet fang leng again for his hormones. The aliens are even more crazier this time. So boring and slow phased story. Full of fillers and unnecessary scenes which have no relevance in the story... Waste of time and disappointed with this season. This season as quite well background score and music like season one rest on all aspects season one is far better...

Good simple fluffy romcom

Fluffy romance between a sweet, bubbly female lead and a good looking male lead. The second couple is adorable as is the sismance between female lead and second female lead (Xiaobu). Miss Chai’s advice is hilarious and practical at the same time
and her trio with Xiaoqi and Xiaobu is lovely.

If you have watched season 1:
Did the story absolutely need a season 2 ? No, the story was finished well enough in Season 1 even if it was rushed but the couple was so cute and the chemistry so infectious that it did warrant a second season of just the Male lead and female lead sharing screen space inhabiting their much loved characters.

[Spoilers ahead]

Cons:
1- I absolutely loved season 1. So if you did too and want the story to continue, you will be disappointed. The setting is different (The FL landed a whole year before season 1). So, to accommodate for some of the supporting actors not being available, some of the sets not being available etc. they changed the restaurant that Miss Chai owns from “An Lian”, a western restaurant to “Chai”, a milk tea /desert restaurant. They also changed the male lead’s residence(that suited his personality in season 1) and workplace though it still has the same core business.

They also changed the male lead’s father and assistant. The personality change for the male lead is a little extreme who was cold with a warm heart contradictory to his name (Fang Leng literally means cold wind) in season 1. The oblivious female lead to the obviously in love male lead made the first part of season 1 entertaining. The male lead’s father also had similar personality traits and loved and protected his son without showing it outwardly in season 1. Here he is just a little reserved.

The setting changes are somewhat plausible considering a different time but the personality changes are a little jarring.

2- The romance part was better developed in season 1 and it was completely believable and palpable. Here, it seems just a little forced.

3- The relationship between Fang lie and Xiaoqi (before he fell for her) was one of the best parts of season 1. They could have added more friendship scenes between them in season 2.

4- Jiang Shiyi even though he was needed to break from the sugary romance and create some conflict. He did redeem himself in the end.

5 - There could be more fantasy/supernatural elements and it would have been great to see how aliens/advanced robots adjust to life on earth.

6- Lots of chasing scenes: First Female lead chases male lead for hormones. Then, male lead chases female lead when he realised he loves her. Then, female lead is memory wiped(for a second time!) and male lead chases her again. At least three episodes are devoted to them chasing each other.

7- There is somewhere a version of Fang Leng waiting for his beloved wife, Xiaoqi and that is heart breaking especially since he already spent 2 years pining for her in season 1. [I am choosing to believe the avengers endgame theory of time travel where travelling to past means the past is the new future and the erstwhile future from where you have travelled is your new past. So, the same Fang Leng got to have his future with Xiaoqi.]

8- The ost of season 1 was better imo.

Pros:
1- More romantic, lovey dovey, cute scenes. More skinship (Female lead touches male lead’s pecs at the drop of a hat)

2- Introduction of human form of Xiaobu. The second couple is cute. The sismance between her and Xiaoqi was adorable as well.

3- The new assistant Han is more of a shipper of the main couple than the audience and he is charming and funny. (I would buy his book and his love triangle with Candy and Shiyi will be hilarious)

4- Less rain induced heterosexual amnesia of the male lead and less of the really annoying female love rival.
