Strong dramatic acting and subject matter

I just completed the first episode of D.P. and I am very impressed. I have heard about the show before but never really considered it. I did it on a whim tonight and I am thankful I did. Tension is a word I seem to be using a lot lately, but it certainly fits her. The growing level of discomfort throughout this lead episode was a master stroke of writing, acting, and directing. The lead performance of Jung Hae-in is brilliant in its silent pain. The dead soldier at the end could just have easily been him. In addition to this, the filming of the final scene was heartbreaking as the Hae-in character, Ah Jun-ho, beats on his partner for his apathetic attitude regard the suicide of a soldier they sent to bring back. As he punching his partner, he begins to see his own face as the one he is beating, a vision of self punishment for his own weakness in giving in to his partners delays in apprehending the deserting soldier. VERY powerful. I look forward to seeing this drama through. It is only 6 episodes.
