My all time favorite C-drama ever!
This drama is by far the best C-drama I watched since I got hooked on them. The main couple had awesome chemistry and they make falling in love so sweet! They're so cute together and the OST is simply the best in my opinion. Until now, I couldn't move on from this drama. The OST keeps playing in my mind and even the cute scenes between the main couple. I love how the drama was written even though there was really nothing new with the plot. But the actors playing the main couple made the drama seem real. And I like how they didn't have a lot of misunderstandings and there was no noble idiocy in the last episodes. They were clear with their intentions and they worked hard together to build a relationship. No rich and cold and unfeeling CEO and no annoyingly dumb and frumpy female lead. Hoping there'll be a season 2!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Short emotional review :)
All my reviews are emotional :DFirst of all, I finished it in 3 days or less, which is a clear indication that it was good enough to pull me in and not let go.
It was the first drama I saw from Lin Yi, so I wasn't really ready for his stable acting. I think he portrayed a 22-year-old college student pretty well. As Lu Jing, he had the innocence needed and the naivety of a youngster. Also, it was good to see the depth of his character, his development and his inner feelings, especially in emotional scenes. Although I wouldn't go as far as to say his acting was the best, I think he did a really good job and I will definitely look forward to his progress as an actor in the future. I would rate his acting as 7.5.
I saw Lulu Xu first in 2014'th drama with Nichkhun, she was too raw for me then and I wasn't concentrating on her, but I truly fell in love with her in 'Sunshine of my life', where she was amazing and didn't shine only because of Zhang Han. So I was waiting quite a lot thanks to that experience. I this she absolutely delivered. I was totally impressed by her, immersed in the character she played and can say that her portrayal felt relatable and honest most of the time. And the other parts, which didn't impress me, or maybe disturbed me, seemed more to do with the script, not due to her acting skill. So all in all, when she laughed I smiled and when she was unhappy I felt it. She was awesome. 9.5 for her acting and really can't wait to see her play in another good role.
Side characters. I must say that in this I can feel pretty ok with how everything was played out. I'm not saying that it was perfect, but most of the characters were good and didn't ruin the storylines or overall feeling of the drama. They didn't feel like fill-in's and did have enough complex and good to watch storylines of their own.
Script. Well, here I think I had the most complaints in my head. Even though the drama isn't as long as lot's of romantic Chinese dramas, it's not short either. 31 episodes mean a pretty long time to sit in front of the tv.. So I would have loved a bit more close-knit screenplay. Like I said already, the characters played were pretty good or really well done by the actors, but some connections to the emotional scenes, introductory scenes, etc were too remote from emotion... It didn't happen enough and bad enough to let me abandon the show or anything, but sometimes I did have to skip a moment or some because I thought they were unnecessary or far fetched or pointless... Am I too cruel.. well it's my review and my opinion...
There is another possibility. The editing was a bit off, but I am no professional and I still think after watching quite a few dramas in my life that there were too many fill-in scenes and they sometimes did try to show emotions and interactions between characters that were not necessary. On the other hand... I do have to give credit where credit is due, the plot made me mostly satisfied and it didn't have some big-bad-longwinded-complicated confrontations and jealousy and work-related problems I'm used to seeing in Chinese dramas.. It was refreshing in that sense. Maybe a little stretched, but still really good to watch in the middle of these obsessive and full of conflicts dramas. So my opinion script-wise is complicated, but overall it's likely to get a rating of 7 from me.
I was lovely surprised by the music. Not exactly my taste, but I was really happy with how much singing there was in it, even if it's studio performances and I saw some mistakes in lip-syncing, it was really well integrated and thought out in the script. So a big Yei! for that.
So all in all, I would suggest this for the romance, emotional scenes, for the music and especially for the freshness if you are a regular Chinese drama viewer. It will give you a few days breather from the emotional turmoil of other dramas :)
Happy watching!

They are so freaking cute (oui cela sonne mieux en anglais).

The story falls into your typical drama setup, and given the popularity of adding gaming into the story has been popular especially in 2021 when both You are my Glory, & Love Scenery were released, and previously Kings Avatar, Love O2O. Both LuLu Xu and Lin Yu deliver good performances as the main characters.
Is this a cheat code to dating a celebrity? No, but it leaves it to the imagination of potential possibilities
Even Dilraba' & Yang Mi's names were mentioned during the drama.
Obviously the selection of music is limited during a drama, however it being about music especially when Liang Chen enters the TV show competition, they could've maybe added1-2 more songs to add more diversity.
It was a good heartfelt drama, with not too many negative moments. While there are some adversities, such as image, other love interests, they were not excessively pushed as other dramas have done.
Its interesting that they met in the first episode during a flashback moment, where Lin Yu's character remembers because that's probably his first time hearing her music, and eventually developing his celebrity crush, but Liang Chen doesnt. While it was also obvious how Lu Jing discovers who Little Box was because she forgot to turn it back on, if you missed that scene they never really recap/explain it again.
The test of any relationship is long distance, at least in drama. It was evident in "You are my Glory", and it brought back nostalgia when Lin Yu in "Put Your Head on my Shoulder" left to go abroad for sometime, and then eventually came back.
Overall, it was a warm but simple romantic comedy. The soundtrack it what originally led me to watching the drama (Liu Yuning did the intro song for You are my Glory, and credits song PYHOMS)

A Perfectly Basic Romantic Drama
Although the storyline of this drama is quite simple, it was exciting and enjoyable to watch. The drama was light yet refreshing, and the chemistry of the main leads is spot on. It was truly simplicity at its finest.Despite having a clichè and unrealistic plot, it was a lovestory that'll keep you hooked with the main lead's charisma and the female lead's bright character. Watching this drama will make you fall in love with the main lead's talents, looks, and caring personality, and will definitely make him your ideal boyfriend. Furthermore, the female lead's passion for music and her perseverance in fullfiling her dream was also inspiring.
This is a sweet romantic drama that strays away from the dramatic and unnecessary problems that the main leads ussually encounter, which often complicate things and lead to break ups. Thus, the show was pleasing yet also predictable to watch, as the other male character who fancied the female lead felt more just like a stumbling block rather than a love rival. Overall, Love Scenery helps you paint a picture of an ideal relationship, which is built on love and support, as each of them grow and mature together while they overcome challenges such as having an age gap and worrying about the power of public opinion.

When the university student gets his idol <3
A famous singer gets signed on to represent a video game as the celebrity endorser, but she cannot actually play the game. So she needs a tutor, of course! A university student—yes, the guy is a few years younger—and tech whiz gets connected to the tutoring job via a mutual friend, and although he is a die-hard fan of the singer, he has no idea that she is the terrible player he’s trying to tutor online. Cue friendship-building sequences. This drama is not particularly gripping, but it is usually engaging and entirely wholesome. There are others vying for the leads’ attention, but these two don’t seriously look at anyone else, and they support each other so beautifully. (What can I say? I’m a sucker for a stable relationship.)
The video-game and real-world interaction is fun and well-filmed! They “enter” any game that they are playing, which makes for many action/adventure scenarios—James Bond, guerilla warfare, zombie soldier attack, etc. The music is fun—the main song that the singer returns to throughout the series is on one of my frequent-listen playlists.

Felt little immature but I enjoyed this drama
Only because of age difference between ML and FML the director forcibly tried to project the immature mentality in all the characters, especially the ML dorm mates, it’s soo immature mentality that you will not see even in junior level school students but they are college final year students. In the initial part of the drama I felt little sad because of poor chemistry between ML and FML but in the later part it’s really good, may be because the ML is younger than the FML the director given time to get synced between them.In this drama what I felt missing is, an intimate spark that makes fall in deep love between the main leads.
You may get confused that I have given the good rating but written negative comments, here are my pro’s of this drama. In this drama what I liked the most is
1. there is no love break ups between the main leads
2. There is no villain character to harm the love between main leads, actually he happily encouraged, blessed their love and supported her whenever she is in trouble.
3. Simple and cute love story, also even though the FML is a celebrity she doesn’t care about her image or carrier for the ML.
4. Overall, in some situations you may feel little immature direction but you will not get bored and you will enjoy the drama.

All out for their songs; grooving vibes and heartwarming lyrics
Slow-paced beginning but actually liven up the mood after a few more episodes. It was a boring start and confusing as well for some reasons, took me too much time to realize the online game setting. Another thing is, the drama implied too much sequence of coincidences like it really make the viewers patience boost. As a fan of Lin Yi, this drama is a must watch for me but I ended up not liking Lu Jing so much. Lin Yi is an eye candy actor and I really love his expressions. The reasons why I slightly dislike Lu Jing is because he is too bossy and so full of himself towards his roommates and Taro. Plus, he is also disrespectful to Jia Yun. I know his personality is supposed to be cool and cold but I’m really sometimes annoyed with his own action. He likes to look down on some people and I am happy that there is a scene in which he and his closest roommate friend has a conflict regarding the way Lu Jing treat him. Anyways, Lu Jing growth and character develop is a good thing during the last few episodes of the show.
On the other hand, I love Liang Chen’s personality, full of ambition and passion. The struggle on her career for wanting to do her own music and shifting from another genre is my favorite part. I was inspired by this to let my decision varies on my personal choices and not by what others tell me to do.
The love story of the main couple is cute and sweet but I am more into Taro and Shan Shan. The second couple love story is super fun and pure. Aside from them, the cutest boy for me in the show is Gu Fei Ming, he wears such an adorable and fancy smile. His character is also so cute and funny, I just wished that the he has at least few screen time during the last few episodes, I was waiting for him at the end but nothing appeared.
The most enjoyable part of watching this is the serve of amazing songs. It was so much fun hearing it and so loving to read the lyrics. I even downloaded the songs because it is really nice and pleasing to my ears. “Never Stop” and “You Have Me” are my top favorite songs.
Lastly, the best lesson of Love Scenery is that dreams are always been there to keep us going. Your own feelings must come first and be the key to let yourself do the things you wanted to do. No matter how hard for your dream to be a reality, one day, your hard work may pay off and give you the desired satisfaction you keep wishing on.
