Must Watch
At last, I got to watch a teen drama where the leads are confident about each other do not give up on each other because "my mom said so" or it's good for you :) This drama starts with their wedding scene, which is super sweet because I am sick of watching 40+ episodes to see the leads separate (read: when we were young) or they meet for a minute before the show closes (suddenly this summer, etc.). They have a couple of kissing scenes where the girl kisses beautifully (which is a must for me). I was super annoyed by the kissing scenes of the FL of love o2o and Go ahead :)Further, for a change, the FL is a smart, kick-ass. She is not annoying or cringy. The ML is super hot, sensitive, smart, has super nice parents (leads one to think we are watching something in heaven:)). The storyline is nothing new, but the dialogues themselves have been written beautifully. At this point, I must comment on how the ML looks at the FL from scene 1. It seems like he can see nothing except her, even when he is annoying her. It's so cute! I have re-watched it so many times, and it always lifts my spirit. If you are like me and fall in love with romantic dramas, this one is a must-watch

a cute love story from when we first met, to college and then forever!!!
I am so happy that at the end of 2020 there is a good drama. I was starting to be worried because a lot of the year end dramas was a flop. This one was a great one to end the year, although I only finished on new years haha.I really liked the overall vibe of this drama, it was short and sweet and a cute journey between the leads.
Xia Lin xi is our female lead , she is pretty, smart and has a well off background. Male lead JIang zheng Han is smart, and doesnt have such a good family background. He is always finding job to earn money for his parents. The two leads starts off with a misunderstanding. The male lead eventually becomes the female lead's tutor. He tutors her in math to prepare her for the gao kao , aka college entrance exam. As the female lead gets to know more about the male lead and why he is so uptight about his money, her perspective of him starts to change. They two slowly begin to fall for each other. They made a promise to attend the same university. Sometime happens that makes the male lead have to leave the school and didnt take the gao kao. The female lead gets mad at the male lead. Eventually they get admitted into the same university and he starts to pursue her. Not very long after they are together. The dramas talks about their years in university with a side note of them competing in programing competition. Turns out the male lead was guaranteed a spot to the university due to him winning a programming competition. It also talks about their ups and downs.
I loved the relationship between the female and male lead. They were so cute, sweet and pure. Their chemistry was so true and passion was good. It was a believeable pair and really felt like a real couple :) Their kisses were simple yet true.
However most drama there is always this triangle.. which didnt care for at all. The female lead had an elder brother figure that liked her ( no blood relation) and of course she didnt like him, But then there was a elder university sister who liked the elder university brother... They were somewhat of a nuisance. The elder university brother is played by Yuan hao ( he was the lead in Rong hua, where he was a pirate, he was hot!!!) .....but in this drama he wasnt as attractive, i almost couldnt recognize him !
The side couple was cute too!The female lead's bestie was paired with female lead's annoying cousin hehe
But was is the best school/university romance drama, nope, but it was pretty good! My fave has to be the best of you in my mind!

Disappointing Drama
Honestly, I'm surprised at the rating of this drama. I'm pretty disappointed with this drama and I am just trudging through at this point, wanting it to be over. I just didn't really feel that strong of a connection to the main couple, and I'm not a huge fan of the second couple as well. I found Chen Yi Chuan annoying and really didn't like how he treated Gu Xiao Man for so long. I honestly felt bad for Duan Ning, he genuinely cared for Xiao Man but he was just used and continues to put on a happy face.In addition, since I didn't even have that strong of a connection to our protagonists, all the antagonists in the story were just annoying and an eyesore.
Then finally, after the two couples get established, we're just rushed into their end of college/adult lives with only a few episodes left. Everyone just unrealistically drops everything to work at Zhen Han's company. What about their dreams and aspirations? Somehow, they all just landed and lined up with Zhen Han's mission. During this entire time as well, I came to the realization that Xia Lin Xi is really not that independent as we are led to think. What about her dreams and aspirations? Whatever happened to her programming or her love for math? She learned programming for a competition and left it at that and math just disappeared in her life. They even hinted that she hated her major yet she did nothing to change it? They didn't delve into her career and she just conveniently joins Zhen Han's company as well. I feel like the only thing that she wants in life is to not be under her mother's control. Yet, she continues to be an economics major because her mother wishes it. Things don't really add up and now everything is rushing and I'm just frustrated. I was barely entertained throughout this entire drama and even seeing them turn into adults isn't that much better either.
I give this drama points for having a somewhat healthy relationship and not giving us a breakup period but that's pretty much it. And I say somewhat because this relationship is just filled with so many lies. I get you want to protect your significant other and don't want them to be sad but if you're continuously lying, I'm not sure I can say that its a healthy relationship that has good communication.
I just wanted to write a quick review about this drama but it turned into more of a rant than a review so if you read this far, thank you! If you try out this drama, I hope you enjoy it more than I did.
Edit: Now that I finished the drama, I just wanted to add a quick little edit. The last episode was sweet and very much like them but I really hate that they just redeemed everyone so quickly like that. Honestly still disappointed because I didn't love this drama nearly as much as everyone else but it's okay. Onto the next!

An adorable drama about growing together!
It's a light and funny but super adorable and sweet drama. I personally really liked the ML. He is very sweet, understanding, caring. On the other side, the FL is a type of person who cares about other people and very supportive. She is also very understanding to the concept of growing together. Their tolerance is very high to each other to the point where you can feel how pure their love is.The story from the start is fantastic. It really made me sympathize with ML but at the same time, it made me admire him. But then they showed the FL side on how kind she is, and how she react to sympathize with the ML. This drama is all about growth and dream. Reaching for the impossible, until it ended beautifully. In this drama, it showed that people that are forced to do something evil can also turn up to be a better version of themselves, whether you lead them or their own self-consciousness works.
The actor and actress are really superb when showing off their chemistry, while the supporting character brings out the funny moments. The OST also somehow capture a lot of emotion in every important scene. Up till ep.12 I'm really touched and cannot drop this drama at all, it made me crave for more.
I think it's a good drama to rewatch after some time. Because you can just sit and rewatch this while recalling a beatiful love journey of the leading character.

Best CDRAMA!
Amazing acting, great chemistry between lead couple, and a good story line. I made an account just to leave a review for this drama and already started rewatching. I enjoyed from the very beginning where it just already lets you know that it will be a happy ending. I love how the lead couple grow and mature together. Especially the female lead, she is very smart and independent (and this is surprisingly an unusual character setting for most Chinese youth dramas lol and so if you were looking for something new this will be a good one for you). Both lead actors are pretty young and new but they are SO GOOD. Became a huge fan of both. If you really enjoyed "le coup de foudre", in terms of the actings and story, this will be a great one for you. Please go watch, you won't regret it.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

An exciting drama that is about youth and growing up.
After seeing small clips of this drama, I was instantly hooked. The first scene, where the female lead is late to her English test and still managing to get a high score was what made this drama unique. What made this drama exciting for me however, was that it was different. In other dramas of similar plots, it is often the male lead who is the "God", the boy who gets the highest grades, plays basketball, has a cold personality etc, in this drama however, it is the female lead who gets the highest grades, and also has the absolute best personality I could imagine, and that made me like her instantly.Unfortunately, the ending was disappointing. I did not expect that their software company would have a crisis right in the middle of their wedding. The company was a big one, and I'm sure they have employees for a reason, and I don't think that the bosses should be the ones handling the crisis on their big day too. I also hoped to see the wedding clip in full (the small clips at the start of the episodes earlier) but unfortunately didn't get that. I ending was rushed and it had space to improve for a satisfactory ending.
Overall, this drama was a nice change to the cliches in other growing-up dramas, as it had some nice twists to it.
Cast: I loved this cast and I couldn't have asked for a better one. They are fit spectacularly into their roles, and through this drama I became hardcore fans of Xiang Hanzhi and Wang Anyu.
Music: Liked the starting music, it was very cute.

Doesn't hold up in 2023 for me. Waste of time.
The only thing worth in the entire drama is the main couple. Every other character other than the main pairing was so badly written. I understand one or two characters scheming or being annoying but not every character other than the main pairing. The entire story relies on using side characters to show how good and noble the main pairings are. That's it. That is the whole story. There was no character growth or redemption arc for other characters. Just a sorry or let's be friends again in the last few episodes to reach a happy ending. At least storylines in dramas have improved tremendously in 2023. When I Fly Toward You (2023) was such an awesome drama in comparison with nicely fleshed-out characters and main pairings not requiring dumb or evil characters around them to make them look good.

This is far the best cdrama that I have watched and it definitely ranks in my top in the entire world of drama. It was well written. No childish scenes. No boring episodes. I do feel like witnessing a REAL love story here.
Jiang Zheng Han (Wang An Yu) & Xia Lin Xi (Xiang Han Zhi) chemistry are on another level! 🔥 So natural in their acting. I can't wait for their future dramas togetherrr! ❤️
PS. I really do hope that there will be a season 2 about their life after marriage and a throwback story of their long distance relationship huhu bcos u know as much as I love the ending I can't help to ask myself what happened in those two years? Or they could have shown their life more when Xia Lin Xi returned from abroad 🥺
Edited: It could been better if Brother Qin Yue showed himself at the day of the wedding so he could at least say sorry to Shi Ying.
This is just my opinion.
Overall, it was FANTASTIC. Definitely re-watching it. This drama is close to realistic and with better mature lead characters. I highly recommend this drama to everyone 💯

One of the BEST! Definitely worth watching!
I gotta say it's pretty hard to find good high-school/university life drama, as most of the time the story line can be quite cheesy and a little immature. That's why I hesitated to watch this. BUT have reading reviews and watching clips I decided to give it a try and I instantly fell in love with it!Considering the number of young actors and actresses,
I am very impressed with their acting! They are definitely a group if very talented people! The chemistry been the actors and actresses are just beyond amazing! Just love the relationship and friendship they have in this drama, supporting each other through thick and thin!
I personally thought the start of the first few episodes were great, it definitely took this drama to a whole new level for me! I purposely created an account here just to write this review because in my opinion this is definitely one of the best drama I have ever watched!
Overall, do give this drama a try! And also, I am so glad Lin Xi's mom did not pull a "Dao Ming Feng" (if you know what I mean hahaha) 😉😂 #meteorgardenreference

One of the cringiest C-Dramas out there
I don't mind cringy, I've watched Boys over Flowers after all, but this drama was really hard to watch. I had to watch it at twice the speed, for fear I'd give up entirely. The acting, the writing, the lack of common sense in so many areas is just mind boggling. The supporting characters are all extremely dense. Save for a few that serve a general purpose, none of them get a redemption ark. None of them have character growth. Only the female and male leads seem to have any kind of chemistry. Everyone's acting is also crap. Literally every scene, it feels as if everyone is reading off the script for the very first time. Then there's the cring and overly dramatic scenes. In one episode, the FL ignores the ML for half the episode because she saw him riding a bike with another girl. No communication, no talking, just pure dramatic toxicity. There's also no attention to detail. In one episode, the FL somehow enters a NATIONAL programing contest just ONE day prior. No knowledge of programing, just a gifted mind for math. If that doesn't make sense, that's just the tip of the iceberg.Having watched K-drams and C-dramas for almost a decade now, I know what to expect when it comes to the tropes of these shows. Yes, there is a cultural difference. They refuse to give up on a tried and true audience that never gave up on them. So long as k and c dramas continue, we will see the tropes in all their glory. But k dramas have long passed that and tried to break barriers and allow new audiences to enjoy their differences. So yes, cringy love and seeing a FL fall into the arms of ML as she "trips" will be there regardless, but C-dramas seem to be stuck in purgatory with the old fashion ways. The results are half hearted dramas that lack realistic and convincing acting and writing that really engages ANY kind of audience. This is what Forever Love suffers from.

Sweet Surprise!!
This was a well done, well written, realistic, and super sweet youth, slice of life drama. The main couple had the BEST and most natural chemistry I’ve seen on screen. It is seriously out of this world!! They not only looked like they would be together in real life, but they acted like they genuinely liked each other. The ML and FL didn’t need background music or extra effects to convey a moment... they seriously just had to look at each other!! The ML has the most expressive eyes and smile (his smirk got me every time). The FL was beautiful with her long locks and she lit up whenever she saw ML. They really had amazing chemistry even when they did the most ordinary things ... they both literally and figuratively "fit into each others arms" (so much so that you wonder if they're even acting!!).I love that the ML and FL also stayed together through thick and thin. Issues were resolved quickly but there wasn’t anything too dramatic or over the top. The acting was spot on and both leads did an amazing job conveying and bringing out a range of emotions. The beginning scenes were little spoilers of the future and for those of us that want a HE, it let me enjoy the drama more.
On a side note, I absolutely LOVED the styling in this drama! The girls looked cute in denim skirts, flannels, skinny jeans, and stylish dresses while the guys rocked the hoodies, flannels, and joggers. Finally, a Chinese drama where the style is up to date!!
This is one drama where I was sad it was going to be over before it even finished! Definitely one of my ALL time favorite dramas and one of those where I know it's going to take forever to find another drama to top this one (time for some major withdrawals!!).

SWEETNESS OVERLOAD!!!!
Story (9/10):For me, I really enjoyed the lightheartedness of the storyline. It started off with a sweet high-school love story and continued onto college and into the real world.
The first half of the drama really keeps you on edge with the progressing storyline and new characters. However, I did find the last half of the drama a bit more draggy. However, the end really does leave you satisfied and smiling for the next couple of days.
Acting/Cast (10/10):
The acting and cast of the two main leads are just PERFECT. Wang An Yu plays as the male lead, Jiang Zheng Han, the smart and dedicated young men. Xiang Han Zhi plays as the female lead, Xia Lin Xi, the intelligent and caring young lady. (P.S. I still can't believe Xiang Han Zhi is only 18!)
The chemistry between the two main leads was very convincing. Every moment they had together was beautiful and makes your heart flutter. They really carried the drama through. What I liked most about the portrayal of these two characters was that they were really mature for their ages. Together, they showed a love story between two individuals that was understanding, respectful towards one another, and was there for one another through thick and thin. Very few of these mature relationships exist in the Asian drama world. Most of the Asian dramas I have seen with has main lead are over-domineering or are unrealistically "cold" but I've been seeing more and more of these more realistically mature relationships.
The supporting actors were memorable and each of them really supported the storyline as a whole.
Rewatch Value (9.5/10):
I would definitely rewatch this drama multiple times. It's super light-hearted and you never get tired of seeing each of the steps that leads to the main lead's beautiful ending.
Overall (9/10):
Overall, this drama is my cup of tea. It's similar to Le Coupe de Foundre in the way of how the story progresses, but the portrayal of each character is simple yet memorable. Three words I would describe this drama is simple, sweet, and mature. Definitely would recommend this drama if you're looking for one that is light-hearted and full of romance.
