Stayed For Male Lead

Whew, I just finished this drama and rushed here to leave a review. Okay so overall the story was nice and the plot was good except for the ending which in my opinion was a little anti-climatic as they built the story around this big mystery only to end it the way they did. It wasn't an awful ending but it could have been better.

Next is the biggest and most important thing and that is the way the male lead carried this show. While I rated this show an 8.5 that rating mostly goes to the male lead (and some supporting cast) who I personally believe saved this show from being a dumpster fire. The female lead is probably the worse female lead I've come across in a drama. In terms of the character, she was so obnoxious, whiny and overall annoying. At points, I even had to skip her scenes because it was pissing me off. Then there is the actual actress herself who I felt was pretty bad in comparison to her male costar. Her acting seemed awkward at moments and in scenes with both her and the male lead his acting would be so good while hers seemed so awkward.

I never leave reviews on the actors no matter how unsatisfactory they are but this show is the first. I may check out some other shows that the female lead was in because I refuse to believe that this is her best.

I feel if you're watching an entertaining historical drama this one is actually not bad despite being a low-budget one.

Story: Many historical comedy C-dramas got the problem that they suddenly switch the super dramatic serious line at the middle or end, which luckily never happened here. Most time it kept the comedic touch without taking it too stern. Don't expect super mindblowing plottwists, it's mainly here just for laugh.

Acting/Cast: Actually a nice cast which are chose n quite well fitting their chars. Especially the male lead, who stood out the most for me. He can switch between serious and comedic facial expressions very naturally.

In overall I'm satisfied since it has been while where I liked a comedy history C-drama.

Unlike many people I loved the portagonist. She has a childlike and free spirit that brings many smiles and laughter throughout history. At the production level the drama can be a little weak but the story is wonderful. The male portagonist, our pirate, is evolving from someone arrogant and cold to a man who loves his wife unconditionally. One of the most romantic portagonists I have ever seen. You should see if you like softs and well-developed novels.The acting was wonderful not only on the part of the main couple as the secondary ones. Everything in this drama was well thought out and no time we feel tired

I enjoyed the series. It was really upbeat and often very funny. I do however feel like the synopsis of the series was a bit off but I followed through just to see how it it would end. The series revolves around a female lead who decides to leave home for a mission although I’m not really convinced it was a mission. It just seems she decided to leave home and do something and ended up somewhere else. The male lead had a more consistent story than the female lead. The story really shows how their lives intertwine due to a mission of the male lead and how they encounter obstacles. I must admit that I found the supporting cast a lot more entertaining as they had an amazing sense of humor and some of the things that they said were too funny and interesting.
This series had so much potential however I also feel like the female leads personality in this series was really immature which somehow made it a little less fun to watch. We watch the series knowing it’s about a romance but when you see the female lead and how she acts and treats the male lead it’s irritating during most of the series. It’s really clear early on how he feels but I watched over 15 or so episodes of this guy trying to win here over. Throughout this chase, she often disregarded him and behaved toward him like she was a 12-year-old. Sorry, I really don’t find that entertaining. Her personality stays the same throughout the entire series although she begins to change somewhat in her behavior towards the male lead.

If you enjoy romantic comedies, bubbly females and adventurous shows you may really like this. You will most certainly laugh. This was definitely one that gave me mixed feelings as the male lead was a lot more mature and focused and romantic in his way while our female lead was portrayed as a often naïve, immature female and often a crybaby. she did prove clever at times though. Maybe that’s the thing nowadays but I just don’t find a naïve female or a female who acts like she’s 12 entertaining especially if she’s being cast as an adult. It’s weird.
Other than disliking the female leads immature personality, I sincerely enjoyed everything else about the series.

FYI when I watched the series, there were many moments when the music was louder than the voices speaking. If there was no translation I would have had no idea what they were saying.

Freakin' cool!

The story I've been looking for all of my l- I mean ever since I started watching cdrama. If you like FL who doesn't give a damn about being saved, then must watch! FL is a heroin who you might find impulsive but her resourcefulness and courage made you vouch for her flaws. Formidable FL indeed. I had been looking for an FL with unclimbable persistence yet bearing a carefree life, till I met her! Her personality really suits the ML.

In most of what I watched, when the FL has an uncontrollable temper, ML balanced it with calmness and posture. Yet this duo defines the doom of the world with both rebellious traits! ML is a pirate! First cdrama I watched that kinda is not inclined to royalty and the mess of politics. You can see the changes in ML's perspective and how he tried and understand FL's dream.

If you're looking for a story in which the villain was just a subtle part and the series focuses on the development of the main characters, then try this one! You can hate the villain or just ignore it nyahaha because it was kinda not deep or so.

And at last! 2nd character shined! He deserves to be happy too AHHHH! I like that ML and 2nd character become friends after all.

Honestly, all I did was smile and blush the way the main character progressed throughout the series. It was short but it felt long the way so many things happened. not rush, not slow. Just right!

I think this would be my first series that is really worth rewatching!

Lovely & Sweet Main Leads with a touch of their addictive Corny and Fun filled adventure.

This drama is a combination of Fun, Sweet, Naughty, Clever and Corny mixed up all together. None of it felt overly used and it gave off just the right amount of everything you could ask for a RomCom Drama. In short it is well balanced and was done considerably enough for its viewers to watch and enjoy without cringing too much.

Now lemme just share this one super cliche plot twist they did at last 2 episodes that I find unnecessary where the ML acted to marry the 2nd FL just to save the FL from possible grief and distress. Like, they could just simply find a better way to resolve the problem and not cause a new one just to cover up the existing one. Well it is a drama afterall but thank god it only lasted for some minutes and was ditched after the next and final episode.

The ML and FL just fits their characters so well and they acted it like they own it. They embodied their character so much that I can clearly see MLs Love to FL as if it's the purest and most genuine thing everrr~ I enjoyed it very well.

P.S. One thing I wanted to give high praises of is how they kept their consistency in making the drama fun and lovely. They surely know their target market.

Story - 9.5, Could've been perfect 10 considering the whole plot and genre it's mainly about unfortunately the cliche Fake Marriage happened and it ruined its serene and lovely vibe.

Acting/Cast - 10, Highly satisfied. Aside from the Main Cast I also appreciate all the actors and actresses that was starred in this production. They all gave their own flavor and touch to their characters and story itself.

Muisc - 10, I love Chinese Bright sounding ballad and this drama served it. I also like how the BGM sounded very fitting with the cute and silly moments.

Rewatch Value - 10, I can't find anything wrong watching it for the 2nd, 3rd and even more times. This drama is light and fun-filled with such great and fluffy love story.

Overall - 9.5, Really wanna give it a Perfect score but that Final part really left a distaste in my mouth. But aside from that everything was naturally and perfectly done. A worth to watch drama for sure.

An Uncommon Romance

Hua Rong is a heroine in training. She comes from a prominent family and is smart, but not very skilled. She tries hard to fight for justice, even when everything is against her. She can be pretty annoying at times with her temperament, but that's all due to her beliefs and determination. Qin Shang Cheng is a highly intelligent pirate and skilled martial artist who is seeking revenge against his adoptive father's killer. He captures Hua Rong mistakenly thinking that she is related. He tries to torture her (lightly), but starts to fall in love with her ferocity, stubbornness, cleverness, and righteousness. I like how Hua Rong works hard for her goals and wants to rely on her own efforts instead of things being given to her. She's also straight-forward and I like how she will tell it like it is. Qin Shang Cheng can be dumb at times when it comes to understanding what Hua Rong wants, but he'll eventually get there. I love the two leads chemistry, and I give major props to the actors. All the actors did a really good job in making this drama, it's funny and light-hearted, but also serious when it needs to be.

The storyline follows these two on their journey towards their goals. They often butt heads, but eventually come to an understanding. This was a really fun drama to watch, and its relatively short and straightforward. I have definitely watch it a few times already. I really hope that season 2 will happen as I can't wait for more!

Up and down ,some episodes were good ,some were ok -ok

In the starting of the story she came to rescue a girl and he came to capture a person because of her he missed the man and thought she helped the man to escape and he captured her inorder to find out the address of the man and took her to his island eventually he had fallen in love o but she looked every way to escape and she escaped as he was crazy about her and in order not to let her go he went on looking for her and said these words ,Hua Rong where ever you are I will definitely find you . till here I enjoyed the story and thought story was getting interesting and thinking how he will search for him , Is he mad on her ? Or Is he angry on her or would show his craziness or he hold her tightly and not letting go but there were some stupid scenes . Two men fighting for one girl and she was showing no interest on them . His macho attitude was gone . He became so soft inorder to win her heart . this i don't want to see , i want to see his manliness . He saved her many times as well support and guide her in her decision which made her to fall for him and she fallen in love with him and then separation story and then patch up and happy ending . That's why story has its ups and down means some scenes were good and some were boring and some were ok ok . Leads' chemistry was amazing as well their acting too especially the crying scene when they thought the other one was dying or died.

The ML Stole the Show

Everything about this drama was all about the ML for me. Easy on the eyes, intense - great fight scenes. Totally believable as a pirate, a hero, a lover. (And that mouth!) He alone made it an 8 rating.

The story was light had a lot of holes in it, and the editing was super-lousy. One minute you're in one scene, next minute you're someplace else. Good thing I was paying attention to whatever the ML was doing! (That soulful look...)

The FL left much to be desired. I kept waiting for her to smarten up or grow up. But no. She was an airhead throughout. It didn't do the couple any justice. Sorry. What a waste of a great guy and a potential supercouple.

I like this lead actor so much I can't wait to see him in a drama with a serious FL who he has chemistry with. They would burn up the screen, because he is smoking hot. (Did I mention his mouth?)

Good weekend watching. And I will be rewatching just to enjoy the eye candy.

This for me is a gem among all low budget historical dramas out there. I'm very glad I found this drama

STORY:
This follows a noble lady Hua Rong (Zhao Zhao Yi) who sought after adventures so she left her hometown to go experience life. She also got tried to get out of a fixed engagement as well. She then meets the famous pirate Qin Shang Cheng (Yuan Hao) in one of her adventures and she then ends up being held captive in the island he governs and eventually have a marriage with him against her will. A one night marriage to be in fact because she tries her best to get out of the island and out of her husband's radar. Their adventure begins and it's too hilarious. The cast involved in the story are all hilarious. What I really loved is that the story is unconventional. I haven't seen a historical drama about pirates so far. This would be the first one. And the chemistry between the leads? PERFECT. I've seen bits of behind the scenes videos and they really look good together. I even think that they were either really good actors OR they're dating in real life.

ACTING/CAST:
The perfect cast in my opinion. The chemistry between the leads and the 2 supporting actors are impeccable

MUSIC:
The opening song had a recall also.

REWATCH VALUE:
Yes! Especially that there's a season 2 coming and I'm happy that they kept all of the main casts. I hope it's not a retelling though. I hope it's a continuation. I'm scared because the team behind this is also behind Well dominated love who had a re-telling as its season 2 so I'm hoping it's not. I'm excited though.

Disappointing all around

So reading the synopsis and seeing the 8 star I thought this was going to be a pretty good drama. Man was I disappointed with how it turned out. The acting, besides the ML, was okay. The writing was definitely not the best so maybe that had a lot to do with the acting. The plot felt weird and insignificant throughput the story because of the “AH HA” surprise factor they tried adding like every other episode. It got repetitive and predictable. Also, I have to mention how annoying I found the FL. It takes a lot for me to not like the main characters of any show really, and I tried really hard with this one, but I just couldn’t. Her constant hypocrisy and childish attitude towards the ML was well past annoying. She would always push him away and get mad at him unreasonably and then expect him to keep chasing her, like I wish he just called her out for her crap seriously even once. It’s only when he’s near death that she treats him nicely and then he survives and she’s back with her attitude. Also, her jealousy was so unreasonable; he’s over here outwardly telling anyone who will listen how much he loves her and rejecting literally any girl that breathes in his direction and she stills gets mad for things he can’t control. Meanwhile, she’s over here PURPOSELY staying in the house of the guy she knows has feelings for her and still flirts with him because she mad at ML??… no words honestly. Her character is just annoying all around.
