Both main characters of His and HIStory2 fall in love with their partners, but have struggled with their past partners and the family dynamic they previously had. But they learn and grow as people. Although how their current family starts/ family dynamics are different in both stories they end with a happy family and a loving healthy relationship.

They are both amazing LGBTQ+ stories. Both are widely different in terms of story (except for two men falling in love) but they are both worth watching. They deal with LGBTQ+ struggle and acceptance in their own ways.

*Both are Japanese BL
*Both really dive into the how hard being openly gay in a conservative society is
If you liked the movie watch Life Senjou no Bokura
Recomendado por blfan1418
Both are Japanese productions that feature the male lead becoming involved with another guy who is responsible for raising a child (sibling vs own child). 'Our Dining Table' is much more lighthearted, whilst 'His' is more realistic with the topic of child custody.

'His' is the sequel movie to the series 'His - Koisuru Tsumori Nante Nakatta', which focuses on how the main characters met during their youth, but the movie can be watched as a stand-alone.
