Both have main characters with ambiguous morals/motivations/psyche. Both (so far) manage to keep their anti-heroes likeable while not toning down their darkness. Extracurricular has a much more intense and fast-paced thriller plot, while IONTBO (so far) has a more leisurely pace.

Highschool miniseries starring Jung Da Bin.
Her character has a secret to hide, where she's going through tough shit.
Both the dramas revolve around Korean highschool kids.

A high school setting.
A thriller.
Poor male lead.
Criminal offenses happen inside and outside the school without anyone's knowledge.

Both dramas have quite a dark feeling to them compared to other dramas, and have two main characters going down a dark path with people chasing after them. If you liked one, you'll like the other.

Very similar plot concepts and aesthetics:

Driven by debts and searching a better life, a bunch of characters join together in an 'everything for money' journey in which a sex work app plays a big place.

In both, the direction is dynamic, it has an effective edition and good pacing.

When I got into the depths of Dead Friend Forever, it just kept reminding me of Extracurricular. They both have a cast of morally grey characters who just keep making mistakes, even if they thought they were making a sound choice. TWs for both for death, bullying, SA, especially the SA of a minor, violence, and some other things.

Both have to do with human trafficking/crimes. They are also quite dark and give off the same kind of vibes throughout. Main characters are very similar as well.

Extracurricular is of a higher caliber by far, but you won’t be disappointed by either of them!

- The crimes are committed by high schoolers.
- Underage "compensated-dating" [and the resulting trauma] play big roles in the plots and overall moods.
- Unable or unwilling to get outside help from the adults in their lives, being forced to try and resolve things on their own.
- Situations that seem otherwise be recoverable in a vacuum begin to compound exponentially into a death spiral, with every possible turn seemingly being the wrong one.
- Relatively innocent, awkward, lonely male leads.
- Subtle, tragic romance.
- Neither piece of media seems to be afraid to break the mold and toy with your emotions.

---

A key difference, though, between the two is that much of the negative actions and crimes in Extracurricular are not with any serious mal-intent, whereas All About Lily-chou chou is much more intentionally malicious.

very similar school setting with strange occurances. The characters also need t work together to solve mysteries and find out the truth. Similar supernatural abilities, mystery and thriller themes.

Both are violent and dramatic stories. They both feature people who don't really know how to rely on others and instead turn to underground life.

They both have morally questionable characters. The stories are tragic and violent. Both have a teamwork style dynamic between the main leads.

- same vibes
- both are short kdramas that you can binge in a single sitting
- though the plot is different, there's still hints of murder and blood in both dramas
- extracurricular revolves more on not getting caught by the police, while one ordinary day revolves around finding out the truth.

both dramas are similar in a way that the plot surrounds students being pushed to do extreme things in order to pursue a successful future.
however, sky castle focuses a lot on family reputation and how one failure in the family can drag everyone down altogether, leading to a lot of mind manipulation and emotional casualties.
definitely recommend watching sky castle if you enjoyed extracurricular!

The mysterious app, F lead finding out about the real owner of the app and asking M lead to participate

Both have bumbling and clumsy male leads that lead a double life. Except in Extracurricular, he's not faking it.
