I loved this drama, the actors played their roles mesmerizingly and each episode takes your breath away because you don’t know what to expect. The story is about how humanity already ends and everyone starts to become monsters, other people try to survive and not to turn into them. There will be sad moments where you will cry rivers :( Also the ending makes you to watch season 2 immediately. I recommend it to everyone especially to people who love the genre of thriller . Enjoy <3

A good story ruined by awful CGI and music.
I'm really annoyed because I want to give a higher rating for Sweet Home.I struggled to get through Episodes 1-2 but after that the drama was amazingly gripping and there were no boring moments whatsoever.
Every character is memorable, interesting and well acted. My favorites were the "grandpa" Gil Seop, Ji Su, and Sang Wook.
I loved the story, characters, and the gore in the drama. But this drama had some absolutely baffling issues:
First of all, this drama was the first I've watched where I have actively disliked the soundtrack. Playing Imagine Dragons' "Warriors" MULTIPLE TIMES was an AWFUL choice. Completely broke the immersion, and the song definitely didn't fit into the drama. Imagine Dragons wasn't even the only poor choice of music in the drama. Soundtrack overall was very weak in Sweet Home.
Other big problem was the CGI effects. With some things it was fine, in most situations it was dreadful. Most of the monsters were just a big CGI mess, which was very disappointing. However as the drama got closer to the finale, I wasn't really bothered with the CGI that much.
I also wasn't a big fan of the "Let's cram as many twists and turns into the last 15 minutes as possible"- cliffhanger ending.
7,5/10

The 'Warriors' song is stuck in my head now
I was going to write a long review but everything I wanted to say has pretty much been said.. but anyways I really enjoyed this series! I put it on hold for a long time after the first few episodes, but when I came back to it, I blazed through it really quickly.I think the actors did an amazing job (even though I disliked half the characters), and the production was so good, seriously some of the shots were breathtaking. It did feel a little rushed though, especially towards the end. But hopefully, everything will be cleared up next season.

Such a good k-drama
This show made me feel so many different emotions. The way that I cried during season 2 during mostly the last few episodes. CRAZYYYY. During season 1 I was really enjoying it and was left on cliffhangers a lot and just had a lot of fun watching it. In season 2 I didn’t really like how they brought in so many new characters and thought it was pointless but the priest was on another level. 🤭. I would 100% recommend the show to people who like horror and suspense. Also I really liked it because I’m not into a lot of romance and when there is a lot of romance which overpowers action I don’t really enjoy watching it, so watching sweet home was really interesting because it doesn’t have romance and just has action, horror and has a good storyline. I feel like they could’ve elaborated more on his backstory even though they touched on it a bit I feel like seeing way more of his backstory in season 1 would’ve made up for not seeing him as much in season 2. I’m waiting for season 3 and hoping that their final season is better than season 2.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Bloody good!
This drama had a slow start, but bloody hell this series is so good. The character driven drama essentially is about the human relationships and their struggles against their own demons more than about the monsters. There's a good amount gore and humor that I often find in B movies (which I love btw), lots of blood, lots of action, lots of twists, amazing characters, STUNNING cinematography, love the soundtrack, and I'm pretty sure I now have a girl crush on the badass Lee Si-young.Rewatch value - I almost never rewatch anything, same goes with this one.

«Sweet Home» m’a surprise.

At first I thought that this was going to be a simple drama just about some people fighting monsters but it turned out to be so much more! Now I can fully understand why people prefer Song Kang's performance in this drama over some of his romantic roles because damn he really did amazing. The other characters were great too. Of course, my favourite character died again because yes everytime I have a favourite character in a drama that has a high chance of them dying, they always do. 😭
The CGI monsters were scaring me so much at the beginning, it was almost unreal! Like I was legit thinking about dropping the drama somewhen along the first and second episode because the monster with the long tongue and the one with half of the head sliced off were scaring me so much. The other one that came later.. not so much, to be honest. Especially the flying eye one, it was just funny how weird that looked. 😂
My final rating is 8.5/10 but I can't wait for the second season.

you gonna burst into tears
The opening of this drama is full of suspenses. The way, this drama introduces the characters is so good that it dwells in your soul and you start liking them. despite of some annoying characters. well, without those character the show wouldn't have been good. The characters holds their own stories and how beautifully they portrait the story can aslo be seen in the drama. As we know, choosing the right actor is the way to success of the drama/movie. I must say, not only the main leads but aslo the role of the side/supporting characters were played so excellently. each and every actor were of top notch. the acting was ace in the drama.
The story was typical with monster and human. It was all about how they gonna survive. The development of characters can be seen perfectly. In those 10 episodes of 1 hour, we experience many emotions, it gonna make you cry, scared, tensed , worry, excited and gives you chill. Plus every episode makes you to bringe watch it. I was planning to watch a episode per day but couldn't help it and end up watching it in one day!
The cinematography was intense and frightening . The graphics for the monster was also good. but they were not scary at all, alteast for me. beside this, i really enjoy the cinematography.
now, lets talk about the music. personally, I pay attention to the music too in dramas. good dramas with some good music is just my kick. This drama has really good, rocking song matching perfectly with the situation. i have seen in many dramas that they add music in almost every scene to create that effect which really annoys me. but, here it's not too much nor too less just perfect.
The ending makes you to long for more for which the season is coming soon. i hope it will be good as first one. keeping my hopes up, I will be desperately waiting for it.
I might be the late one because i usually don't watch thriller but this one caught me and made me watch more.. I never thought i will be watching this but now i'm loving it. it was best thriller for me with some simple plots. how to turn the simple plots into fantastic story, the team of this drama knows well.. thanks to the team.
small suggestion: please do not eat while watching this drama because it will make you loose your appetite. There so much blood
me myself is not a person to rewatch the drama BUT but this drama is making me feel like watching again already ^__^
100% rewatch value
hope review is usefull.

A Horror Staple
As you can see from the headline, Sweet Home was a horror staple. The first thing I noticed in it was the editing of the monsters and the costumes. The team did really well with that. They deserve the highest compliments for that. It was really realistic to the point where I got scared. I am usually unfazed by watching horror shows or movies at 2 in the morning, but this was done so well that I could only watch one episode a day because it left me quite unsettled.Moving on to the story, I would say that it is not predictable at all. It was actually a tad bit hard to understand but after 7 episodes I finally got it. It was fairly well written, but the cliffhanger was one of the worsts (or should I say best) ever. I'm still waiting for a season two but there was and has been no activity about that announced yet.
As for the cast, I can't express how much I love each and every single one of the members. Let's start with Song Kang. His versatility is just beyond words~ from high school popular boy (in Love Alarm) to demonic and monstrous teen. Secondly, Lee Jin Wook really had that raw feeling to him. He portrayed the role really well and I can't see anyone else doing that role at the moment. Lee Shi Young just represents were character so well; she really brings emotions like desperation and characteristics from her character's firefighter experience to life. Lee Do Hyun (damn, he's hot) started climbing up my favorite actors list after this drama; at first, I thought he would be one of those actors that could only play funny roles but his duality was shown well here. Finally, Go Min Si portrayed my hero Lee Eun Yoo so well; she's such a badass naive teen and that's something I can only dream to be. Her acting, as always, is top-tier; I didn't expect any less. Honestly, whoever casted did a really great job *insert clapping soundtrack*!
Overall, I would RECCOMEND this drama if you like the zombie and horror concept.

Let's start with the acting of the main leads. That was wonderful and now Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si are some of my favorite actors of the new generation. Their characters and themselves are really different and the fact that they can play a role like this so well is amazing (I really enjoy Youth of May too). Song Kang is a really good actor but the type of character he played was not my favorite but he did a really good job! To be honest I was really impressed with the acting of everyone, even the support roles, and the children.
The plot was very interesting and the action scenes with Warriors by Imagine Dragons were so energetic. The monsters were really well made and realistic to the point that sometimes I was scared by them and the writers were really original with the choices of the features of the monsters.
This is the only drama that I rewatched and it feels like watching that for the first time every time, even a scene that I cried every time I rewatched that I cried but maybe it's only me because I cry very easily. Now I can't wait for the second season because I have so many questions that I want answers to and some theories that I want to be resolved. In the end, I really recommend this k-drama for all the people that want a really good horror drama and some different from the rom-com ones; and it's a really good starting for being a horror/thriller/crime dramas watchers as it did for me.
(Sorry if I made any writing mistake but I'm not a native English speaker)

You should definitely watch this!
This is everything I didn't know I needed. One of the best dramas and tv shows overall I have ever watched. Story is amazing and shows what people are really capable of. Characters and their story are really well written and shown. Chemistry between characters is really wonderful. CGI effects and horror elements are chef's kiss and could not have been done better. Actors did their best and really gave it their all, showed characters emotions incredibly and their chemistry is over the roof. Second season will air this year so if you didn't watch already do it know because I guarantee you, you won't regret it! A must watch drama!
