Hands Down, the BEST BL
There are not enough accolades or positive comments on this earth that could begin to even describe this series. It is phenomenal. It is profound. It is the best acted BL series I have ever seen. Honestly, my words do no describe the emotional impact of this series. This was so beautifully done that it is a work of art. It is flawless. I have never been so moved or felt such emotions as I have watching this. I have not cried this hard since I lost my father. It was that emotional. It has to be one of the finest TV productions ever ANYWHERE. I am not Thai so I had to watch it in English translation so I can only imagine the impact it would have in its native language. Suffice to say, that this for me is the BEST program I have EVER watched and would rank this as my favorite of any series ever anywhere. The actors gave it their all and without exception, they are all superb. Perhaps this is hyperbole, but if this had been an American production, I am sure it would have walked away with every Emmy in every category that it would have been nominated for. This is, frankly, superb. I am honored to have watched it and shall remember this for a long, long time. This series is memorable. Thank you for making it!! Please watch! There is a difference between plot and Plot.
The thought they put in this series and the production makes me crave for more like this, where it is more than just romance between two men.I hard a hard time with some songs they used as OST (still not used to singing in Thai) but the overall music and melodies are so on point I cried with the characters.
The acting? Great. It was interesting how it all seemed so genuine; the friendship, the love, the hate, the fear, the hurt. Fluke and Earth are so good at being heart broken my tears flowed with them. Crush on Ohm and Kao, they portrayed introverted characters without the cringe (you know what I mean?). I love Sammy, I'll just say that. All the actors were just great.
Sometimes, there are awkward silences that I think could have been dealt with better with some nice fillers though.
I enjoy the BL genre but this time I felt like I just watched a romance series in which the main characters just happen to both be men. It is a beautiful love story that hits deep in the heart. WATCH IT.

i hated this drama at first
okayyy, I actually did not like this drama at all when I first watched it. I thought that the directing for pharm was not good, he seemed whiney and I thought that he was too much of a 'damsel in distress'. But then I rewatched it (for bounprem oop-) and then I erwatched it again. Then i realized I had actually fallen inlove with the characters and the original storyline. Also I can't wait for hemp rope omgomg. So yes, you should watch this drama if you haven't already. The music and osts are also amazing??? And can we talk about fluke's acting . Also Ohm is a talent, and he looks like. beautiful statue. Samantha was also a delight to watch. Bounprem stole my heart. Personally I liked Pharm and Dean but I absolutely loved the story and chemistry between Korn and In - along with Win and Team. I really really really cant wait for Team and Win's story.

With its red string of fate story in a BL setting feels new and refreshing because I think, for the longest time, majority of Thai BLs are limiting themselves by the same material, same tropes over the years. Although it still played with stereotypical narratives of BL, how the director showed the contrasting stories between the past and present was perfect. However, I can resonate with some people complaining about the slow pacing of the story, which by the way I'm not completely mad about.
The acting was topnotch, hands down. All the couples have instant chemistry since the beginning, and the level of consistency with their acting were seen all throughout the series. Especially with PharmDean, which they're phenomenal in the roles they portrayed. Both of them have contrasting personalities and its nice to see how in the end, they were able to find their middle ground.
As for the music and rewatch value, I have zero complaints and I'm gladly will rewatch this over and over again.
If you're looking for a series that actually has a plot, topnotch acting and chemistry between characters, slow burn narration of story, then this is for you.

A Masterpiece
I was so reluctant to watch this for a long time because I didn't think I would like it, but man I was so wrong. I'm so happy I gave it a chance. I am absolutely in love with this drama. I felt so many strong emotions throughout the show. I laughed and I cried (I cried so much). I wouldn't change a thing about this drama. The cast was perfect honestly. The acting of the entire cast was superb. The story was so interesting and unique. I haven't seen anything like it really. The soundtrack was so incredibly beautiful. I didn't feel the need to fast through any part of the show, which lately is saying alot. This was honestly a masterpiece. So beautiful to watch. Most most most recommend series
This is my first bl series which i watched. I must say it is completely a master piece. My most favorite. They cared everything in this series.. Love, romance, comedy, tragedy, friendship, emotions, relationship goals everything. You should watch it. The casts are all so perfect in there every scene. Their acting is super good. Hat's off to director. Seriously he directed the drama so good, excellent. I have no words to describe it much. All i will say if you are a bl series fan then it is a must match series and if you are not then still you will love it. The red thread of fate and reincarnated lovers, a plot like that is hard to perfect. To be honest, even though I gasped when I read the plot, I was ready to be disappointed. I'm so happy to say that I was overjoyed! Some might think that the main couple dwelled on their past more than necessary, but I'd say it was essential. If you found out that you were a reincarnation, wouldn't you also question your existence? Dean and Pharm had a relationship that made me feel true love through the screen. (and I felt single but that's not the point.) In some dramas, even though there's a romance between the main leads, you only know that they're in love, you don't feel it. They're in love, that's it. No depth or whatsoever. This wasn't the case for Dean and Pharm. In UWMA, throughout the endless events we see, we become more and more sure of their love. In some stories, you even feel like one side loves the other more. I never saw that in DeanPharm. Their love was felt when they were together (so, in almost the entire drama). Their love exceeded the red thread of fate that tied them together. UWMA has its own unexpected events too, those events gave the story a different type of depth. UWMA also had one of my favorite second couples of all-time, WinTeam. Some loved WinTeam more than DeanPharm, and to be honest I can't guarantee that you'll love one couple more than the other, because I adored both.
The acting was spectacular. A plot like this also needs to be portrayed well. Multiple actors caught my eye in UWMA. There were excellent actors, like Samantha (as Manaow) and Earth (as In). And there was one of the best actors I've seen, Fluke who portrayed Pharm. Did someone say the actor who does the best crying scenes? Yep, that's Fluke. His acting made me forget that he's an actor and none of these are real. He is so good and I realized that I don't have enough rich vocabulary to do him justice and say how superb he is. If you're not sure if you want to watch UWMA, let me tell you, this guy is a marvelous actor. Even if the plot and the trailer weren't enough for you to decide, the actors should be convincing. Fluke made me feel every emotion Pharm felt. If Pharm wasn't portrayed as well as Fluke portrayed him, he wouldn't be one of my favorite characters. Pharm needed to be portrayed flawlessly, and Fluke did him justice. Let's stop here before I turn this whole review to a novel about how excellent Fluke is.
Rating: As you can see from the gigantic paragraphs of love, the story and the cast are both 10/10. The directing was okay, as I find myself too amateur to rate directors. And UWMA was okay in terms of directing. The songs, I can't believe I'm feeling songs now. They were good, tearjerker good. I loved the OST. I don't like to rewatch dramas, UWMA is one of the very few dramas that made me want to watch it again and again. If I weren't challenging myself, I'd probably have rewatched UWMA like, three times.
I want to recommend UWMA to anyone and everyone. I started UWMA because of the plot and tags (UWMA looked like everything I have ever loved in one drama, can you blame me?) and I was ready to drop, ready to be disappointed. UWMA was just, the best for me. I remember that directly after finishing UWMA, I thought, "What could make this drama better?" and I couldn't find an answer. No matter how much I love a drama, I can usually find a minor thing to make it improve, but when it comes to UWMA, I can't think of a way to make it better. To me, UWMA is perfect just the way it is.

At the time of this review, I have seen the entirety of the drama twice. Both times were as equally as impactful, lots of crying, but believe me it's worth it. The story is one that I have not seen many do, it's got a touch of the supernatural, but it's done in such a beautiful way that it just intertwines with the story seamlessly. The acting is top notch by everyone. Manow is such a crazy, fun girl, she got me doing an ab workout during some scenes. All the couples were great, however, I do wish we saw more of the WinTeam couple. We'll see more of them when Hemp Rope comes out. DeanPharm had me from the first episode. They built such a beautiful relationship even though they knew they were meant to be even before they met. They didn't rush, they gave each other boundaries. It was such a realistic depiction that it felt so close to home for me. Its just how I was with my partner when our relationship was growing (still together for 6 years btw). I loved the fact that they were two men didn't affect their friends so much, if at all. It just seemed so natural. We all know that the KornIn couple had their love in such an unfortunate time, but you see every step of their relationship with resolve in the end. The drama delves into so many issues, but you mainly feel the love from each character.
I could talk about this drama all day if I could. I do plan on watching it again. While it made me cry throughout the journey, I also felt lots of joy as well. You really empathize with everyone. They are all relatable in some way or another. I would recommend this drama to anyone. This drama is definitely on the top of my list, and I don't see it dropping from that position anytime soon.

Broke my heart again
I cried again, Its probably my second time watching this drama and i cried just as much as the first time. the story is just so beautiful, definitely a must watch for everyone. I really love the red strings myth a lot, just means so much in this story line and their story in general; i found it really beautiful as much as it also hurts.The actors are incredibly good, also for a side story for Team and Win, they just get along so well and would totally make a great story as well and their couple is really cute. (update: Between Us coming soon)

Those flashback cuts are heartbreaking but adds so much to this drama, they're so loving and you just cannot not appreciate their love to each others

This drama has my highest rating so far on MDL. Let's begin with the premise. Reincarnation has been something written about all the time. But, I've never seen it done with such care as in UWMA. This was the first drama I'd ever read the book then watched the series and was blown away by everything.
Casting Ohm and Fluke as Dean and Pharm was genius. Not only were they beautiful together, the chemistry was wonderful to watch.
There was a moment between Dean and Pharm that I didn't appreciate. In episode 10 when Pharm got angry at Dean for trying to be tender with him. Maybe it's because I'm not Thai, that I don't understand it. To me, Pharm was acting as if Dean was doing something inappropriate. They were together in private, so I wasn't sure why Pharm freaked out then. That bothered me because it made no sense.
Boun and Prem - I wanted more of them. There was a chemistry between the two of them that deserved their time to shine and I am still holding out hope for a season dedicated to them--or just a few special episodes. From the very first episode, I knew those two should be together. The way Win (Boun) looked at Team (Prem) did it for me. It's the way he had this little gleam in his eyes that told me those two would be killer together. What little we did get of the two of them was pure and beautiful.
Nine and Earth were fantastic as Korn and In. I was really happy to see Earth in a role other than Tar but could we please have one where he gets the guy and NOT die? Please?
Manaow is the friend we all have but don't deserve. She's funny and supportive and tells it like it is. We all need a Manaow in our lives and Sammy slayed that role. I'd like to see her in a role where she's the lead now, please.
Overall, this drama was well written. The acting was beautiful, almost poetic. It was so good, I almost believe in true love again...maybe if they make us a season 2 I'd definitely believe in love again. Just sayin lol

why until we meet again failed to reach its potential
i started watching this series with a friend of mine after having read an extensive review on how it's actually incredible, from the cast, to the acting, but especially because of the topics that it tackles such as suicide, homophobia and domestic violence.the beginning of the series is actually promising: two fated lovers crossing the boundaries of time to meet again in another lifetime, and the characters are, at first, seemingly differentiable and actually likeable. even the dynamics between the friendships are, initially, actually accurate and seem raw and genuine. as the story progresses, it feels like the characters are losing touch with their initial personalities, and not only this, but their growth is mostly inexistent.
what's really upsetting is that the subjects mentioned before, which were the basis of praise for this series, lose their meaning by the end of the series. even though it attempts to make a point out of reconsidering suicide as a method of escape, what happens at the end twists the entire storyline and shifts the blame from the abuser to the victim. the long monologue in episode 17 tries to be the voice of reasons, but actually blames the victims for choosing their way out of the prolonged trauma that they had to go through, and the pain they caused to their abusers, as a result of finally setting themselves free. this only further stigmatises abuse and reinforces the idea that victims are guilty for the way that they're treated, even if it (hopefully) wasn't meant to be taken that way.
in that light, what could've been a promising series about soulmates reuniting and fighting their hardships together as they attempt to combine both their past and present lives turns into something that, by the end, leaves an unfortunate, bitter taste.
