the first 13epis are absolute treat to watch.. Though gets boring in between.. But LOVE the ending.. Gonna re-watch it again, ofcrx the frst 13 epis. The leads are FIYYYYAH & I'm sold.. Every time Mr. Fang Lang smiles, i lose a bit of my heart.. Hsu Thassapak, I heart you..
Would Recommended if you prefer watching a light-hearted Romantic comedy.. Its a bit weired & annoying at few points, but then its a good timepass watch..

Inconsistencies make this a forgettable drama
The story is nothing new; I guess anyone who have watched dramas for while came across something similar before, so it should be a challenge to make it interesting.Overall it is filled with inconsistencies, probably makes a bit of sense coming from an alien but rather difficult to understand the male lead having multiple reactions - even though having some mental condition. It just didn’t leave me any impression on the events leading to them getting together (and twice!). One particular event that did leave an impression is the female lead getting subdued and restrained by a mad scientist. No explanation why he was able to subdue a powerful alien with his bare hands (maybe he carried her crystallized blood?), really forced I must say. What followed after is really uncalled for, something I would call a torture scene? And thereafter an escape attempt foiled by a violent act on a fair lady. She maybe acting as an alien but it does not make it any easier to watch.
What kept me a bit interested is the female lead, she is so cute and lively especially for the first half. Didn’t think too much of the male lead in the beginning but he grew on me. Among the supporting cast, the restaurant owner and the male lead assistant were the rare sparks in the show.
The OST in the beginning and end sounds nice and compatible to the drama but they were just played in the beginning and the end. There was also a track performed by a male singer that was nice at the very end. What a waste. Cannot recall anything else except for some old sounding tune quite frequently used in many scenes.
I am fine with flawed dramas, but this is one that I completed just for the sake of completing it. I am quite sure it wouldn’t leave any more impression even if I rewatch it.

I love the relationship between Fang Leng and Xiao Qi, both caring for each other but at the same time, trying to hide their concerns for each other. I also love the relationships between Fang Leng and his little brother, and Fang Lie with Xiao Qi.
And of course, there are the antagonists, Fang Leng's employee, his ex-girlfriend, his step-mom and step-mom's brother. However, whatever schemes they come up with trying to hurt either Fang Leng or Xiao Qi, somehow, one way or another, the schemes are never successful.

I watched 6 episodes then left it because it became too boring for me but came back to it after 8 months and actually enjoyed it. The female lead is just too sweet. I love the way her character doesn’t seem to get hassled by many things. Her focus is on getting her annunciator back and whatever means she can get it by. Of course, in the course of the plot she falls in love etc etc. The male lead is good in his own way. Cold at first and totally in love later on. It’s “Fluff’ to watch if you can see it that way.

This is what I called a romantic comedy. In all of the 28 episodes, there are a lot of funny scenes that will make you laugh out loud so much. The male lead did such a great job portraying his role. I literally am smiling everytime it shows him. Though he is cold a lot of times, he does have a lot of funny moments as well. The female lead is just a cute dork overall being clueless about everything since she's an alien but I do love her spunk and backbone she has. The lady owner of the restaurant, the secretary, & the doctor really help contribute to this drama. It's great to see such support.But of course for me, Chinese dramas are hardly a perfect 10 for me. Once again, for some reason, every Chinese drama I've seen that shows the villains never getting punished for their evil deeds. What kind of justice is that. In this case, I wanted to see some harsh punishment to Fang Leng's stepmother, uncle, & that witch of a 2nd lead Jiang Xue. They torture Fang Leng with so much crap and in the end just got away with it. Also, while I understand Xiao Qi is an alien so of course she would be slow to learn about the human life like love but come on... it had to take until the last few episodes for her to finally confess her love. That was the part that annoyed me, her keep turning down Fang Leng. Also I hated the evil witch deleting Fang Leng's memory bank of Xiao Qi. Is that even possible? This was stupid. This should've been taken out and just kept with the love progression of the main leads.
Chemistry is very strong within the leads but there weren't enough happy moments with each other. A lot of funny interactions but not enough joyful moments. The last episode mostly contribute to happy moments until Xiao Qi magically disappears back onto her ship, leaving Fang Leng in sadness. I hated seeing this. Why ruin a last episode showing this scene when this could've happen some episodes ago. The last episode should've been all happiness. Still it was a happy ending.
Chinese dramas are really hard to find that have a good plot progression with a satisfying ending because most of the times they rushed the ending and drag so long on the episodes but this one was okay. Could be better but not too bad.

Cute Fantasy Story
Let me make this straight. This drama is one of the best Fantasy Rom-Com ever. But at the same time it has few flaws.Flaws:-
1. Dubbed: I mean I can understand why ML is dubbed. But I see no point in dubbing the FL. Personally I think the Fl's voice irl is very unique. I love her real voice. It would be better if they didn't dub it.
2. Very very very bitchy SFL and stepmother. My blood boiled everytime I saw them doing something unethical.
3. A very illogical syndrome that the ML suffers from.
Good qualities:-
1. Funny FL.
2. Male chases Female first.
3. A cutesy cutesy Turtle pet who is a wise adviser to Xiaoqi.
4. A very funny SML. But I liked him better as Xiaoqi's friend not as a love interest.
5. ML's doctor and assistant.
Overall, this drama is quite funny. I have shed some tears but they all were worthy as everything ended well. Its a good drama for starters. Watch it, you won't regret. :)

Enjoyed this WAY more than I thought I would.
On top of my head this drama the drama's premise initially reminded me of My Love From The Star, another drama which I really like. However, once you get past the fact it's rom-com between an alien and human...it's pretty much completely different.The thing the drove this drama is primarily the FL. Chai Xiaoqi is a quirky and naive alien character who has this fish out of water curiosity to her that behaving unnaturally that lead to rather funny and interesting moments. She came to earth on a simple mission to study plant life here, I guess, but one day while trying to save the ML she lost her annunciator that help transmit a signal back to her home planet to retrieve. Turns out it was embedded into the ML's heart during the car explosion which knock her into river nearby. The ML is a character who suffers from amnesia, in which every time it rains...he'll forget the women in his life. This made the ML extremely difficult to start any meaningful relationship in his life, that is until he met the FL. Something attracted him to her and eventually he found out that he could actually remember her after one of the rainstorm, so he suspect she might be pivotal to help him cure his illness. Once you get past the extremely weird premise, you'll find a really quirky, fun, light-hearted romance drama.
Pros:
-Likeable main leads and supporting characters. Lots of cute moment. ML
-Cute relationship between the FL and 2nd ML. Although eventually 2ML fell in love with FL, FL has always treated him like a buddy and good friend.
-SML is the ML's brother, despite ML constantly being jealous of 2nd ML whenever he's chummy with FL, he love and supported him.
-FL live with a restaurant owner who, herself, is pretty funny
Cons
- Wacky premise that's really well explained...neither her alien origin or his amnesia make much sense for me even by the end of it.
- Tons of cliches but fortunately for me it's not too overbearing. This might be a major cons to some of you.
- No well-developed antagonist. There are three primary antagonist in the show: the step-mom (almost birth mom of 2nd ML) and her brother, the crazy ex-gf, and the weird scientist. And none of them make any sense, imo. They're just there to bring obstacle between the main couple really.
It's hard to describe what makes this stands out amongst the other rom-com. But I really enjoy the main couple and their romance and their moments together. So, imo, if you can buy into the main leads' romance, you'll enjoy this a lot. It could've been less then 28 episode, imo but it wasn't too long that it truly bothered me.

Remove the alien plot and it's a typical rich guy poor girl story
Yes! The headline says it all. After watching so many supernatural character drama and the drama itself being very hyped, I had so much expectations from it. But... Sadly it didn't reach my hopes.After watching first romance and crush I became a fan of Wan peng. This actress can really make such a great chemistry with her co-stars. And she didn't disappoint me in this drama too. I could feel their chemistry and become lost in their scenes.
But that is the only thing that helped me get through the drama.
One thing that I want to say is, Wan peng is a good actress and she creates really great environment around her co-stars but she really needs to work on her kissing scenes. In every drama even though she looks great with the ML but during kissing scenes, she does not cooperate at all. Same thing happened in this drama as well. Thassapak Hsu really tried his best but because of her not cooperating, those scenes didn't come out as good as their chemistry. If she tried just a little then I am sure they would have made fireworks in my heart.
So sad, it didn't happen.
Now back to the drama,
The drama was very promising at the beginning and I really enjoyed the first 9/10 episodes. And then it began it's journey to the waste.
If the scenes of Xiao Qi using her powers which covers very very very few scenes is removed, the drama becomes a typical rich guy poor girl concept drama, where the girl is thrown away millions of times but she just doesn't have any dignity and has to shamelessly cling onto the ML. I was hoping the plot would develop later using the fact that she is an alien. But No! When she is required to use her powers she just can't use that! Then what's the point of making her an alien!
I will say that again that, Thassapak Hsu and Wan Peng had great chemistry. But when it comes to the story between Fangleng and Xiaoqi, it was actually a headache. I literally lost count how many times they were together and how many times they left each other. At one point their relationship looked like a toxic relationship to me.
Acting wise, every actors did good job with their acting including the side characters. I have to point out the acting skills of Thassapak Hsu. He is such a great actor. He really can make one immerse into the scene. When I saw him crying, damn I cried with him as well.
It's just my opinion, the writer didn't write the story in clear mind. With the aimless back and forth of the main leads, I started to lose interest in the drama.
I would have rated the drama more less, but since I love both the main leads and their acting, so I had be a little bit biased.
There are talks about a second season of this drama. Honestly I am really excited to hear the news and would love to see them together again. I just hope that the makers will make a decent story this time and will not disappoint me.
