•In both drama the main characters are next door neighbours.
•That backhug after that incident scenes are pretty similar.

Both these dramas involve music and the creation of a band.

Both are very fun and cute and talk about neighborhood.

Saijo Akane, a college student and aspiring drummer, who finds herself suddenly kicked out of her band. However, things take a turn when the brilliant musician Fujitani Naoki stumbles upon her talent and invites her to join his new ensemble.

Both are cute, lovely and funny and have one lead actor - Tamaki Hiroshi.

Both about piano genius. Musical prodigy. Young talented couple. Beautiful music. Life struggle around them.

The romances in these two dramas remind me of each other. In Pasta, the shared passion is food - in Nodame, it's music.

Plucky girl has great potential but lacks technical skill. Girl falls for anti-social, rude guy that is tops in his field. Quirky girl wears down rough exterior of guy and brings out the best in his personality thus making him a better (and less anti-social) person.

Naeil's Cantabile is the adaption of the Japanese drama(along with manga, movies and anime).

I'll always love Nodame Cantabile! One of my first dramas of all time. But in Naeil's Cantabile, there were scenes that were added that I really enjoyed.

Both are super funny, heartfelt, and musically enjoyable. The music in both are fantastic to listen to for classical music lovers everywhere.

Oh Han Byul leads an entertainment agency's PR team. One of her top clients is the star Gong Tae Sung, who can do no wrong. They were in high school and college together, where he became her sworn enemy. They bicker constantly but soon develop feelings for one another.

Both shows have kind and innocent female leads. The male leads in both take a while to appreciate the female leads.

They are both music dramas and they both have orchestras. They are also both rom-coms. Monstar is a little darker tone than Nodame Cantabile, but they are both about finding your dreams

The main actress are similar. They are both loud; funny and make you laugh~
If you've liked one; you'll like the other :D

after only watching the 1 ep it felt very similar to NC, Kang Gun Woo felt just like Chiaki Shinichi even tough they have different personalities and background they are similar about being conductor on a orchestra full of amateurs and the male lead being an apprentice to a great conductor

Nodame Cantabile is a longer version of 2 talented musicians that play the piano & become better after meeting/creating a relationship just like the Drama Special Season 1: Pianist.
