(Mild spoilers ahead, so only read after watching this episode)What stood out the most to me in this episode was the real human moments unrelated to the romance. When Dan-i's copy is stolen by her superior, she knows what the world's like. She doesn't expect Hae-ri to have stuck her own neck out, stood up, and said, "Wait a second, that's not your copy!" What she was expecting, however, was a little human decency -- for Hae-ri to not have gaslit her and said, "I don't know what you're talking about -- that never happened." She was just hoping Hae-ri would do the decent thing as a human being and empathize with her, basically being like, "I know I didn't do anything to help you, but I know what that's like, and it's awful." I liked that she didn't have crazy high moral expectations, just wanted a bit of human decency. And I also like that when she said that to Hae-ri, it really seemed to resonate with her. Side note: So wait, you're telling me Eun-ho goes to Dan-i's house every time he gets drunk, but he had no idea that it was slated for demolition for an entire year?? That means he didn't get drunk at all in the past year? I have a hard time believing that...I find that this often happens in k-dramas, where they need some plot device (in this case, Eun-ho not knowing about Dan-i's situation) to create some drama or drive the plot, but then they develop these romantic/sappy concepts that don't really work continuity-wise unless you squint and look at it sideways.
