Meu Ahjussi Episode 5 Reações
That hilarious moment was then ruined by Gi Hoon nagging about Dong Hoon's wife. That they should be talking. Well at least he thought his brother was ashamed since he didn't mention the cleaning business. Which I'm now wondering how Korea pays cleaners. Here a Janitor can make a ton of money, especially a maintenance janitor. That's horrible work that no one wants to do! I think Dong Hoon's oldest bro gets it. After all he's pretty much separated from his wife. He just won't giver her that divorce.
Gi Hoon's past comes vomiting back. The lady vomiting on the stairs is the actress that tanked his career. Which sounds like she liked him got nervous and blew it. Either way she's cray-cray and he's rude, somehow the complete each other. I feel like they will be the comic relief.
The most important part of this episode is that we don't have to wait for Dong Hoon to find out his wife is cheating. I liked that Dong Hoon was savvy enough to know that CEO Do Joon Yeong had wronged him because his jerk boss was suddenly acting nice. Dong Woon thinks that just means Dong Hoon has always hated the guy. Dong Hoon is know idiot when a man who has treated you like crap suddenly starts being friendly you know they've wronged you. Though I can't believe Dong Hoon was stupid enough to bring those call records to his office! I' don't think he actually hid them. It was dumb luck they slid behind the drawer. Holy stupid!
"You're a good person."
Oh, the emotions! It was weird seeing all the bump ins Ji An had with Dong Hoon. Especially has she listens to everything that's going on with him. The meeting on the street with his brothers. The turning point was when he sees her stealing a cart. He goes after her to return the food she left behind. To find out she's taking her grandma out. Ji An coldly tells her grandma about Dong Hoon being a good person that "It's easy to be good when you're privileged." You can see the sadness in her grandmothers eyes. Though considering how much she spies I honestly thought she'd get that Dong Hoon has worked his bought off and his family is poor. I'm sure they have to reveal that his family has always been poor. After Ji An's cold remarks Dong Hoon is still waiting for her to take her grandmother back. He doesn't comment on her living space or anything else. In fact, he just tells Ji An the above line. From there on he's talking just a bit, even mentions his son to her. Invites her to the work dinner.
Which I believe is a huge turning point for Ji An. At the party she sees Joon Yeong and his underlying harass Dong Hoon. Knowing what she knows she has to see how sick it is. Why does he have to leave when he was the person wronged? I believe that big moon and the red cross that Dong Hoon saw while waiting for Ji An was a sign. After all when she later defends him and comes rushing to his aid her feelings have turned. She's even questioning why Joon Yeong is having an affair with a married woman. I think the most important question is a coworkers wife. I wonder want Dong Hoon's wife would think hearing Joon Yeong's answer. She already experiences how he treats her.
It's hard to believe a company can have that much power. I mean going through employees things, internal investigations with now checks and only anonymous tips. Not to mention that all the employees witnessed the brutality, but the can't all band together? They stood up as one things would get better. These are not easy jobs to feel. It's specialized.
I do believe Joon Yeong's adversaries would be wise to promote Dong Hoon. I honestly thought from the beginning that it would be smart of the company and give the show extra ammo. Plus, Ji An could become his person and help him. Her situation might stop her now, but it could change. Her friend (who we need some more info on) and her should be able to make money if they're this good. She even said it wasn't her first time doing this.
In the end this episode was an emotional whammy. Ji An and Dong Hoon's relationship is growing. Not to mention Dong Hoon seeing his wife and in that one glance he knew. He had no doubts.

I have repeated this countless times, but I do not care. I love the chemistry between the protagonists, although it is not properly romantic. It no longer matters if their relationship will have or not romantic connotations, it simply fascinates me how Dong Hoon and Ji An communicate without extraordinary dialogues. There is so much depth in them that even uncomfortable silences are too eloquent. It is charming the way they begin to see under the skin of the other, trying to explain what inexplicable attraction exists there.
In appearance, their lives are opposite: Ji An lives in misery, Dong Hoon has fulfilled the expectations of the world. But in reality both are outcasts. Actually, both transit a lonely road. Meeting each other, even in these circumstances (god, she still is helping bad guys), changed the picture.
My Ajusshi depends completely on the details and body language. This raises drama's quality, very high.
Although the history of the brothers does not fit yet, the production is brilliant. And with each chapter, I will continue saying, this series is consolidated as one of the best kramas of the year.
