Médicos (2016)

I've said this many times..NEVER go by any review. Use it as a base. Try at least 4 ep. Not everything is our cup of tea. Many time high reviewed drama wasn't enjoyable to me and vice versa.

I DID not enjoy reply 1997...tried up to 10 ep and mostly ffw it. I kept thinking when is it going to get sooo GOOD like all the raving reviews....? It never did it for me. I also never trash the series either expect that I tried it and it didn't hook me.

I was hesitate to what this series and was Whatever about it. I'm not a fan of any of the actors. I seen 2? Of PSH series.

This is by far her best character and to me 1 of the best series out there.

It was heartwarming w/the grandmother. I cried and cried. The cases w/the patients were interesting and heartwarming base on the case. My fav is the father and his 2 boys. I cried sooo hard and I felt for them.

I base my review on my pure enjoyment and how it made me feel. I enjoyed this series and it gave me a feel good feeling. It tugged at my heart. Like all series we have to have q suspension of belief.

What I love is the honesty. Beside the girl antagonist. No one was pushing themself on others.

The 2nd ML is freaking adorabkable & -funny

ML friends were too...

No guys were "fighting " over a girl and 2nd ML didn't just like the other girl in the last min. I really appreciate that.

It was cute how he declare to the ML that he is Interested in her and will battle him for it. The ML with his best smile/amusement wish him luck and challenged him lol. They mutually respected one another. Lol when the 2ML got kicked out of his own apt. And seek refuge at the ML place. Good bromance.

Was there a few slow part...sure...I always feel all drama always dragged things out.

Overall a great series i'll rewatch again.

Clear your mind and just try. It either click or it doesn't. If a drama gives you the feels then that's all that matters.

Honestly, Doctors is one of my favorite dramas... up until episode 4. Those are the only episodes worth watching and whenever I re-watch this drama, I stop at the fourth episode and pretend that's how the story ends. The story of how Shin Hye's character evolved from a rebellious teen to a benevolent doctor is great, it gave lessons of passion driven success and that with hard work, it is possible to turn your life around. Even with an unfortunate background, Shin Hye's character finds passion in something, plays with the cards she has been dealt and achieves her goals, which is a truly inspiring tale. However, once she reunites with a certain someone in episode 4 the story should've just ended there. The plot becomes weak and fruitless, there was nothing worth watching after that. I would give this drama a perfect 10 if it were only the first 4 episodes, but I will knock it down a full point since the rest of the show is plain boring. Final rating: 9/10. Would I recommend? Yes, but stop at episode 4. Would I re-watch? Yes, and I have a few times, but only up until episode 4.

Korean remake of Turkish show

This show is actually a remake of a Turkish show called Kalp Atisi (Heartbeat). I think the reason why the Korean remake is so good during the first few episodes is it's actually identical to the first few episodes of the Turkish version. The Turkish show itself was actually very good and unlike the Korean remake did not make me drop it after a couple of episodes. Although the Turkish version's plot does die down towards the later or second season it was actually still very good. Personally, if you think the plot sounds good then I recommend watching the Turkish version over the Korean remake. It'll make for a much more thorough story and also the growth of the characters is more well depicted.

I'm guilty of re-watching this drama over and over as it progressed until the halfway point when it began to fizzle. As much as I loved this drama, after watching the final episode, I came away with the feeling that the entire thing was a vehicle to show off PSH's "Adult kissing" chops with a veteran star known to be great at it. I mean lets face it. Kim Rae Won is a stellar actor in ALL ways and he's mature. What a perfect way for her to leave the immature cardboard kissing nonsense behind her for good! This drama also showed of those fighting skills that I'm sure she worked seriously hard to hone. She executed those moves PERFECTLY leaving me to believe she probably does that stuff in her free time (whenever that is).

I think for KRW this drama was light and fun to do. All the Cast were great. I invested in all of them, even the Antagonists and although the story basically fizzled - IMO - once the mains established their bond and the fight scenes no longer made sense, the fizzle started far enough along and I liked the characters more than enough for this to be one of my indefinite re-watches. In fact, maybe it's that all-round lack of heaviness and full-Cast likeability that allows me to keep going back to it happily.

So much potential lost

The first five episodes of this series are absolutely phenomenal. I love the in-depth development of our totally bada** female lead's backstory. I would recommend only watching those first episodes.

However, once you catch up to "today's" world, I recommend just dropping the series and just inferring what happens from there in the most generic way possible. I found the female lead totally lost most of the things I loved about her as the series went on, and those characteristics I loved would only come back as convenient plot devices before washing away again. She gets too caught up in revenge. Too much focus on administrative drama.

No quesito história, "Doctors" não teve nada de muito diferente do que poderia ser visto em outros dramas, mas o elenco cativou, agradou e fez bonito. Foi empolgante ver o quanto a Park Shin Hye evolui e conseguiu se diferenciar de seus últimos trabalhos. Ter visto um lado mais "agressivo" e "rebelde" - já que sua personagem era assim no começo do drama - foi surpreendente. Impossível não falar da química entre ela e o protagonista, Kim Rae Wo, e difícil evitar comparações com outros atores passados que também foram "namorados" dela em outros dramas. (apesar da minuscula participação, já quero um drama com a Park Shin Hye e o Ji Soo como "parzinho" hahaha)

O karma/destino que seguiu os personagens do incio da história até suas vidas no hospital (Lee Sung Kyung, Shin Hye e Rae Wo) não foi tão surpreende, era até previsto, mas as atuações só mostraram o quanto seus personagens cresceram. Nem tenho do que falar sobre o romance dos protagonista, ele surgiu e foi evoluindo de maneira sutil e condicente. A relação conturbada entre a Hye Jung e Seo Woo, também teve sua evolução e transformações condicentes com os momentos em que ambas viviam. E o elenco secundário também não fez feio, alguns personagens aliviando o clima tenso do hospital, outros apoiando o clima harmonioso e outros causando uma devastação por onde passava.

Acho que a história em relação a vingança da Hye Jung acabou ficando arrastada demais, demorou-se para tocar no assunto, e quando ele apareceu - de fato - foi meio "solucionado" às pressas. Claro que no caso do drama, ia acabar acabando do jeito que foi, devidos aqueles fatos, mas ainda assim... Achei que acabou deixando a história meio na mesmice e até um pouco cansativa. Acho que focaram tanto em coisas que não deveriam ter focada, e outros pontos que poderiam ter tido um aprofundamento acabaram sendo esquecidos. (SPOILER: a invasão da casa do Dr. Jung Yoon Do, por exemplo, pelo tio dele e a Ahjuma, poderia ter saído algo mais dali, apesar das cenas terem sido ótimas... A evolução da amizade para "romance" da Seo Woo e o Yeong Kook... Ou até mesmo o "webdrama" que o Kang Soo fazia sobre a Hye Jung)

(tirando uns detalhes e outros que me deixaram meio "sim, mas e aí?" ou "acabou, sério?" ou "mentira que vão deixar o ..... assim?!" hahahaha) O drama foi bom, o elenco maravilhoso e a OST perfeita. Agradou e encantou.

Well... The main couple cast of this did NOT look promising (judging from my previous experience). Just the name Park Shin Hye. How could one not shudder remembering the "drama" that was so bad (and it was not because of bad cinematography, in fact the "drama" remains in MDL Top 10 "Most Popular Shows") I wanted to rate it 1.0, but it was SO bad I rated it 2.0? LOL. Not much more can be said about "Love Story" in Harvard' which had Kim Tae Hee in the lead (!!) and I DROPPED it after 10 episodes (rated it 3.0, that much charitable I felt).

I decided to try just ONE episode of this. No more chances. So. This one has an interesting age gap. He is introduced to be quite likeable school teacher. Very well. But I was not particularly looking forward Park Shin Hye's character joining that school. Her character is seen leaving to somewhere in 1st episode, she might as well just left the drama and I wouldn't complain. While she might not be just a wooden doll like when she was younger, her portraying loud and "badass" type nevertheless looks like a girl acting out, which looks a bit embarassing with her being 26, and not 16. So, the first episode did not convince me. The guy was too cool for her. I don't need to watch it 20 times to see that.
