My Favorite n Ima Dude Like Cmon

Let me just say real fast i hate female lead not because i hate females or I'm sexist its as a male myself i can relate more to a male lead than a female lead but this ultimately became one of my absolute number one favorites as a k drama and even though it was a female lead i could still find things that were so good with the story and production

The Character Drama and Character Development To Me Was By Far One of The Best Iv Seen From Most K Dramas How Ha Won Went From Tom Boyish To More Girlish But Keeping Some of That Tom Boyishness and i Think Its That Tom Boy in Her That Made Me Feel Like Her And Ji Woon Were Meant To Be Really The Rebellious Guy With The Tom Boy Strong Girl Is Perfect I Think The Bad Reviews Come From People Wishing She Would Have Got With The Other Brothers But This Ending Was The Best Outcome And This Show Had The Perfect Amount Of Romance Comedy And Anticipation

Funny, cute + sweet

This was super cute and funny. I really enjoyed it! There were some slow parts, but it has a slow burn. I loved the female leads relationship with all the guys! I feel like she had something special with each of them. She was really amazing, throughout the story she stayed true to herself and wanted to do what she thought was right for the ones she cared for. I think I rooted more for her to pick Kang’s Hyun min, he was my favorite, even though he was arrogant. He really grew on me. I did love how the story unfolded, and I look forward to more shows with these actors.

This drama is a jewel in disguise and perfect for getting out of a drama slump. Though Cinderella and the 4 Knights lives solely off its main female lead and all the relationships in the drama itself, it's something you should give a try.

Storywise C4K could not be more cliche. Seriously, pretty much everything about the story was typical rom-com. The plot makes you think you'll get a total reverse harem story but that storyline dies pretty much in episode one since everyone who watched a few rom-coms before knows who ends up with who or at least who doesn't end up with the other person. That is actually also the only reason why I watched it. If it was really a harem story I would've skipped the drama.
Characters
The female lead is amazing. There are plenty of headstrong or stubborn or earnest female leads in the history of dramas, but Eun Ha Won takes that to a whole different level and she does it in a charming way. I was seriously afraid she was gonna be over the top but she was like...a real human being I guess? Someone who didn't seem out of a drama but more like a normal person, you'd meet on the street, and that was so refreshing.
The other characters are pretty cliché, as well as there is a lot of character development you can expect beforehand. Another thing I have to praise though is the fact that finally we have a second female lead that is kinda a love rival but also a friend. She doesn't hate Eun Ha Won and wants to be friends with her, which I think is like a total turnaround from other dramas.
Otherwise the drama totally lives off its relationships and the interactions that come with it. Funny comebacks, lovely couple scenes, and so on and I spend pretty much every episode laughing my head off or being glued to the dramatic scene.

For me C4K is a jewel in disguise because you expect your typical rom-com and you'll get exactly that but in such a refreshing and bubbly way you'll want to giggle your heart out. I totally recommend it for people in a drama slump!!!

Nooo! Why did this show have to end? My Saturday and Sunday mornings would start with this show and now that it has concluded, I have nothing to kickstart my weekend. Now how am I supposed to know that the weekend has arrived?

Let’s weigh Cinderella and Four Knights on our show beam balance and see how well this rom-com fares.

Good Weights
Ah Jae Hyun: I liked him from his first scene itself. His chemistry with the Park So Dam was far more electric than that with Jung Il Woo. I was rooting for Hyun Min (Ah Jae Hyun) for the longest time despite knowing the fact that Ha Won will eventually end up with Kang Woo. I was actually hoping for the show makers to surprise the audience and let her go with Hyun Min. His chemistry with Hye Ji (Son Na Eun) was just meh… maybe because Hye Ji herself was so meh on the show. Couldn’t they have given him more screen time? He was so good!

Park So Dam: This new age Cinderella is smart strong, brave, and indomitable. So Dam may not be an exceptional Korean beauty but her tomboy looks helped her look convincing in the show. She isn’t the perfect Cinderella but most certainly was the perfect Ha Won. She acts well and shares good chemistry with all the three Kang cousins.

Melodious OST: I give the show’s OST a big giant humongous thumbs up! Ji Woon and Ha Won’s love song ‘For You’ (the ballad version) gives you the feels. Its beautiful lyrics ‘…you’re the only one for me….I’m the only one for you’ perfectly captures what Ji Woon feels for Ha Won. ‘My Romeo’ by Jessi always reminds me of the first few episodes that were dominated by Hyun Min. It is a fun and peppy song that suits all the amusing and mischievous instances on the show. Finally, the song played mostly when someone (read Hye Ji) was brooding on the show, Apink’s ‘Without You’ is a song that will stick in your memory even when you do not really get the lyrics.

Bad Weights
Too Farfetched: Now tell me why will a chaebol (extremely rich businessman) grandfather hire a young girl to change or reform his young grandsons? Why would a grandfather keep a young girl in a house full of testosterones ooops…. I mean young good-looking boys and not expect her to fall for even one of them? He is aware of how rebellious those boys are, so what made him think that a lame ‘dating’ ban will stop the girl from falling in love with any of the boys. Had Grandpa threatened them with disownment; they would have all come wagging their tails behind him and he would have to neither spend money on Ha Won nor face the threat of one of his grandsons falling in love with a poor helpless girl.

Too Clichéd: Actually, rom-com’s like these are always heavily clichéd. The hero is always there to help the girl under every circumstance. He always reaches her wearing a jacket so he can offer it to her. He will always be around her when she is lonely and upset. He will always offer a shoulder to cry on when she is sobbing. This show had it all. It is a typical romantic drama and is nothing out of the box.

Though the show beam balance tilts with good weights, Cinderella and Four Knights is not a perfect drama. It is not even an ideal drama. It is a typical clichéd drama where you know what will happen next. However, despite the predictability people watch such dramas only for the ‘aww’ moments. And this show has plenty of them. Its good-looking cast is the cherry on the cake. I liked this show because it was funny and sweet. There was nothing complicated was entertaining for me.

If you like predictable stories with lots of lovely moments to swoon over then go for this one. Binge watch it over the weekend. Trust me you will not regret it.

i have rewatched this three times

literally the epitome of kdrama, the poor girl bad family rich cold guy, cohabition, um age gap is a bit weird to me but like this is an old drama so i’m not being too critical on that, cliche tropes left and right, cringey scenes and lines, absolute banger OST, watch if you like cliche dramas with a good looking cast. so cringe but i loved it because of that i had my ex boyfriend (boyfriend at the time) and younger sister watch it with me and they both actually really liked it (just get past episode like 2 or 3 and it gets a lot better).

Honestly I know there's mixed reviews of this drama but for me it was 9.5/10. I liked the plot, the characters, the chemistry among them. I liked the enemy to lovers kinds trope and how their past was also intertwined without them knowing. The osts are soooo gooood. The only thing I honestly disliked was when the grandpa didn't even apologize for his doings. I honestly didn't like his character though without him the drama won't even happened lol. But I've rewatched this quite a few times and I never got bored of it.

This drama is a cutesy, cliche drama! I love this drama because it never gets too dramatic and yet it still manages to kin my interest! I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a deep drama with emotional turmoil but its still a nice watch! As you watch the characters slowly fall for each other you see more problems arise keeping them apart. Its highly cliched but if it isn't broken don't fix it! I would recommend this drama if you enjoy fluffy romances, strong female lead, and reverse harem! I really enjoyed this one!

Literally watch any other show.

This is one of the worst k drama to become popular in recent years. Defiantly the worst K drama in Netflix (US). Editing is very bad. It has weird transition and cut scenes. Its like the creators thought that if nothing cool happens every few minute the audience will lose interest. Characters are all cartoon. You can tell who is good or bad immediately. May be this show was meant for kids. All the actors seems trying their best with the crappy writing. But lead female didn't seem to fit the bill. Her character is supposed to be smart, strong, respects elderly, beats up grown adults in fight, does multiple job to save up for college.....typical strong female lead things convincingly. But she didn't seem to be able portray those thing. Literally watch any other show instead you'll have a better time.

SO at first I really enjoyed the plot line but as I was continuing on... I just felt the plot dragged on a little bit and I just kept watching it because of my OTP they were so cute!!! Also, I think what also kept me going was the OST and the comedy elements in the series. Still recommend it though because it brings up some serious issues with regards to the rich and poor and how we treat people in society. I think that although the drama was not as exciting as the their ones I’ve watched, Itm”’s still good.

Initially I put this drama as of no interest to me, since I'm usually not fond of cinderella/chaebol plotlines. I mean, aside from a few that I did like, the genre as a whole tend to annoy me somewhat. But then as time passed, I got to see Jung Ilwoo, Park Sodam and Ahn Jaehyun's other works and thought about giving the series a proper look.

And I guess it worked out in the end, as it didn't take long for me to like the characters and premise. For one, I enjoyed this drama much better than The Heirs as the plot here was much more fun to watch. For one thing, as much as Hyunmin was so much of a womanizer and assholey at first glance, he's much better than a certain Kim Tan in that it didn't feel like he's being pretentious for being a rich kid or act disbelievingly flamboyant. And later on Hyunmin's characterization expanded even more to reveal that he wasn't in fact, quite the superficial person that we initially thought of. In that sense, Hyunmin's character was better developed than Kim Tan and that other character the other actor had played prior. As in for one, Hyunmin's action for 'bullying' the person he truly liked was out of their own sense of guilt and felt undeserving of being loved.

Park Sodam here played the main female character Eun Hawon, our titular Cinderella who didn't quite believe in the fairy tale magic. Have to say that I like Ha Won's version of the cinderella trope; in that despite how her life was a mess, she didn't let that get her down. And she can fend for herself too, so as much as her step family treating her badly she never let that bring her down. That said, Jiwoon's character already had his own charm in the kind of angsty boy type. Like he wasn't a family rebel for no reason and his bad relationship with his grandfather stemmed from something that happened in the past. It's not quite the Prince Charming one could've expected but when paired with our cinderella, the two do look good together!

Seriously can't help with the comparison with The Heirs since there was a lot of common elements between these two that kept reminding me. Not to mention Boys Over Flowers, though I'm more into the original JP adaptations and not bothering with the Korean one, especially with the whole 'making the girl miserable' trope. Even then, I have seen a lot of different version of the F4-type tropes in many dramas and some dramas tend to overplay that trope to the point of annoyance. But surprisingly, this drama kept amusing me. There were even moments that I can't help feeling my heart flutter as we see more of the apparent love square between Hyunmin-Ha Won-Jiwoon-Hyeji. Though you might blame that to the very good ost popping out at good timing.

Honestly I never thought I'd end up enjoying this drama a lot. The story elements were pretty balanced in a way that Ha Won's family was like the usual cinderella setting aka the stepmother and stepsister treating her badly and stripping her of any basic neccessities to the point that she needed to be self-reliant. Twist here would be that the dad was lead to think that Ha Won wasn't his child due to a misunderstanding thus overlooking the problems in the household. The issues within the Haneul household was also pretty decently set, like the reasons why the grandsons were in bad terms with the elders was understandable and it wasn't just typical poor people weren't a match with rich people trope (thus they would do their cruealest act to separate the couple). Heck, I like the grandfather and I'm glad that he wasn't written as just a rich old man with shallow personality who only thinks of profit. Also, the way the different people start to care and grow affections in the drama were also written well and the love didn't just happen suddenly and you can really see the chemistry happening between these relationship. Have to say that this was pretty rare in dramas of these tropes as usually the tropes can be exagerated too much, but it was executed very well here without making it feel too cliche'd.
