The entire cast fit in thier roles well and they all meshed well together. PSH showed off her excellent skills as always. Young Hwa did okay enough with his role but I think if the script was better he could have shown off more of his personality. I feel like his character was one dimensional. Min Hyuk was love. He really outshined his CN Blue buddy. The actor that plays Ki Young is soo talented and I wished he had a larger role within the drama instead of 2 lines per ep.
The OST and score is brilliant. So fresh with the mix of traditional and rock. I also liked FT Islands song that is featured.
There is a great chance Id watch this again because I love the cast and music but im not really in a hurry.
Overall, the drama is a big disappointment story/plot wise but the characters and music will help get you through it.

i love that yoon hwa and park shin hye are there
love the choice of music
Lee Shin, (Jung Yong Hwa) is a university student majoring in Western Music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of a band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks, cocky personality, and strong passion for music. Everyone sees him as a cold-hearted and distant person, but he has a soft side inside him hidden away. He lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at the university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Gyu Won (Park Shin Hye).
Lee Gyu Won is a jolly, bright, and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in Traditional Korean Music. She plays the gayageum. Gyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Gyu Won immerses herself in practice and becomes a university student who knows nothing much outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.
Yeo Joon Hee (Kang Min Hyuk) is a bumbling, shy, and ever hungry boy who doesn't act his age. He has a complete childlike personality, shaggy idiot by day, Stupid's lead drummer by night. During one of his shaggy phases during the day, he comes across University Princess and chairman's daughter, Han Hee Joo (Woori), who he immediately falls head over heels for, calling her his "Natasha." However, there are dark sides to Hee Joo's personality than his naïvety knows, and in the series, he fights between his ever-growing feelings for Hee Joo and helping his friends as she threatens their university lives.
The time when Lee Gyu Won decided to join the performance for the festival, every one sees her potential talent and this triggers Han Hee Joo's mother who plans together with Tae Joon, one of the school's administrators, to destroy Lee Gyu Won's and the Director's image for her to quit the upcoming festival in her fear that Lee Gyu Won might outshine her daughter Han Hee Joo.

The episodes flowed like a breeze. I did not find any major hassle for our characters. Ok maybe the coach was a little too biased. It felt like High School Musical of Korea. It felt cute and giddy, like a summer romance. . The drummer was the most adorable I have even seen. He was literally so cute. Even the narcissistic Princess changed for the better.
For me the show ended in Episode-13. The last two episodes were such angst ridden episodes that it destroyed the continuity and the breezy feeling of the show.
I loved the music in this one. I feel like jumping out and dancing while listening to the title track. All of them performed really well. I feel most of the trouble makers got redemption arcs. Basically I loved this and would recommend this as nice and breezy, a summer rom-com.

Well the story was not that much deep, but it was actually why I liked it. Because it was totally refreshing. It was pleasant. No story of revenge, not that much conspiracy... Actually, it felt light, and I liked it because it didn't was heavy and annoying.
Well, as for the casting. Jung Yonghwa and Park Shin Hye assured it. It wasn't perfect, but it went well. I think it was even rather good. And Kang Minhyuk did a very good job, and you can't hate his character. The cast was good, according to me.
The music was pleasant too, and really present in all the drama. That was nice, even though I'm not a really great fan of Park Shin Hye's voice.
I think that this drama was really refreshing and nice.

Watch to come out of your watching slump.
I don't know whether I hate or love this one. The story was bit draggy at times, and I skipped some episodes in the middle, but I don't feel this drama is as bad as people claim it to be. Although the story was messy, yet it was great to watch the budding campus romance. The actors had a great chemistry, and played their parts well. The music was the winning point. Literally it had some of the best tracks, and the osts stand out to be the best of the kdrama world.
Binge watch it on the weekend, when you don't have anything to do or watch, but don't keep great expectations.

With a few exceptions all the older dramas I've watched sucked. This one is pretty good for its age. Park Shinhye + Jung Yonghwa combo worked out quite great, which came as a surprise, since I did not like Yonghwa before, but as it turns out he is a much more talented singer than I thought & his acting was okay too.The story with the big play & the villains doing things to make things harder just isn't good, the writers did not try real hard to make it interesting and relatable, luckily in this genre this isn't a major issue. There is a love square, but it's very weak, the second leads don't cause many issues, this is very applaudable for a 2011 drama really. The secondary characters could have been more interesting, but there were a few rather funny ones, so it's okay.
I liked the music, my only gripe is that it was quite repetitive at times.
I wanted to watch a lighthearted romcom, this mostly delivered, if not for the 40 minutes of forced separation makjang in the last episode, I would have probably rated it a 9.
