Pond and Phuwin still have a long way to go

Pond and Phuwin's acting remain raw and awkward, the former passing nonchalance off as emoting, and the latter needs to watch how tensing the brows and pouting the mouth are not enough. Acting-wise alone, they are perhaps the weakest among the 8. Some of the other pairs have either a stronger between the two, or both are equally strong and feed off each other's energy, but here. they are far from having the acting chops to carry off anything more substantial on screen. The script is naive and illogical for the period details, and serves as a disappointing start to the whole series.

Terrible writing

The series started strong, but when searching for a pulpable crisis between the leads, the writer has zilch idea of how to propel the story forward convincingly. Kang's character is so terribly and illogically written I pity how Perth has to emote all these supposed twists and turns when he himself must be very confused by how his character is behaving. And Sailom should honestly just forget about such a guy. Nothing is worth it.

Acting classes please

The acting of the supporting cast, particularly the actress playing Sai, was hilariously bad. She tried so hard to cry, panic and be scared, but ended up looking like a blank sheet of paper running like she didn't really want to escape, and having fake tears thrown on her face cause she just couldn't cry. And the villains, OMG. Both the village chief with his fake eye and the henchman with the hyena laughter hail from OTT acting school of bad villainy. Did nobody turn up for auditions??
