Nice short length drama we should try it

The thing about sequels is that you would expect to see the magic of its predecessor reflect somewhere. There are certain expectations of the sequel from the viewers. Soundtrack #1 was an instant favourite due to the breezy chemistry between South Korean actors Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee. They were paired up for the first time on-screen. Similar expectations were levied onto its sequel Soundtrack #2 which premiered earlier this month. Noh Sang Hyun aka Steve Noh and Geum Sae Rok star as the leads in the anthology sequel. Taking the idea of Soundtrack #1 ahead, Soundtrack #2, a six-episode short story, also features a story of love and heartache backed by melodious tunes. Ji Su Ho [Noh Sang Hyun] and Do Hyeon Seo [Geum Sae Rok] were college lovers but broke up because of their differences and contrasting ideologies. Neither of them fully moved on from the past, but they carried on with their lives. Now, four years later, the two coincidentally crossed paths. However, even in different spaces in their lives, the unresolved issues creep up as they spend time together in the present time.
Ji Su Ho is now the CEO of an entertainment company which backs creators and Do Hyeon Seo used to play the piano but had to hit pause on her career. Now, she works several part-time jobs to pay her bills and keep her piano studio afloat. Demian stars as K, an aspiring musician. As fate would have it, K, Su Ho and Hyeon Seo came together for a music project. As they spend time together working on the project, they find resolutions for their past and present dilemmas. K grows feelings for Hyeon Seo but she does not reciprocate them. The two remain friends. Hyeon Seo and Su Ho give a second chance to their relationship, but unresolved emotions surface as they navigate their current lives.

Not bad if u want to watch short drama

The finale was genuinely satisfying. There was no unnecessary drama, and the story wrapped up neatly, with plenty of sweet moments between the leads and their side characters' plotlines being resolved as well. The K-drama felt like a cozy hug, especially in the last two episodes, where we saw the main couple truly in love, overcoming all their issues and backstory problems. The series, titled "우연일까?" ("Is It Fate?") in Korean, is centered around the themes of coincidence and destiny. From the start, it’s clear how intertwined Hoo Young and Hong Joo’s lives have been, with their paths crossing in ways they hadn’t even realized.

For some, the story might feel rushed, but that’s part of its charm—its simplicity. The way Hoo Young and Hong Joo find and fall for each other through a series of coincidences, as if guided by fate, is what makes it beautifully touching. Even within the short span of 8 episodes, the series manages to explore the main plot and side characters thoroughly, presenting everything clearly without extreme highs and lows, making for a heartwarming watch!

Not better than S1 But let's hope for S3 to be good

Sweet Home Season 2 Episode 8 leaves us with more questions than answers. Chief Ji’s mystery feels childish in front of the Bamseom neohumans. Her husband turned and Hyun-su killed him to save Eun-yu. As for the tunnel thing, her son probably turned too and she feeds him symptomatic people like Seung-wan. She also probably wanted to feed Mrs. Oh to her hungry son. But why did she need Ye-seul to cut the lights?

And is there something to Seon-hwa’s pretence and Peter’s shadiness? Chan-young and Ha-ni may show up at the stadium though, to take down Ji’s son and Tak if he loses control. We also get the answer as to why someone as deranged as Ui-myeong doesn’t hurt Yi-kyung when she goes into labour. But this plot twist was possibly not thought of in season 1 which is why he treats her like a stranger at Green Home.

It also gives us a small explanation of why their kid is so powerful, she was possibly conceived when Ui-myeong had already started turning. It also seems that Ui-myeong convinced monster Hyun-su who had blue eyes in the mall in episode 1. This is why Hyun-su changed his mind when he came back to his human self after the car crash.

But there is one slow buildup we don’t mind – the cocoon monsters. Like Mrs. Im and the Bamseom monsters, they can control their monsterization. This means Eun-hyuk is more or less himself but powerful. They really blindsided us by not adding Eun-hyuk’s actor, Lee Do-hyun to the cast. Does this mean we will also get monster Ji-su in season 3? We don’t see her die either. The Crow Platoon has grown on us too and hope they are not all dead.

A high school-to-adulthood unrequited love story

The script is tight, coherent. Beautifully sad and hopeful at the same time. The characters well rounded with very real problems based on actual contemporary issues, such as social classes and expectations based on gender, which makes it even more heartbreaking. You understand the decisions they are making are the best option for each other, even if it means being apart. Still, their love always makes them cheer for the other to become the best version of themselves.

Sun Qian and Zhang Xin Cheng’s chemistry in INSANE. Like, DAMN! Not once I didn’t believe in their performances or the story they were telling me. They carried the entire film flawlessly. Bravo.

I enjoyed every single minute of this film right up to the end, which left me with a chuckle and the biggest smile.

Comfort movie ??

The movie is surely a familiar melodramatic stuff reminiscent of similar films such as “Iris” (2001) and “Still Alice” (2015), but director/writer Jeong Jae-eun handles his story and characters with care and consideration. At one point, the movie makes a little fun of Ryoko’s most famous work which was incidentally inspired by her crumbling relationship with her ex-husband, but it respects her artistic passion and dedication nonetheless, and that is why it is often poignant to watch her struggle to write through whatever is still left inside her mind. Although her relationship with Chan-hae initially looks clichéd, both of them are presented as human characters we can care about, and it is engaging to watch how their relationship is developed along the story.

The lead performers of the movie support the movie well with their good performance. Miho Nakayama, a Japanese actress who has been fondly remembered by many audiences in Japan and South Korea for her charming performance in “Love Letter” (1995), deftly handles a number of obligatory melodramatic moments in the film, and she is fabulous whenever she is required to express a lot of things via her beautiful face. On the opposite, Kim Jae-wook, a South Korean actor who has mainly worked in several South Korean TV dramas, is solid in his understated acting which effectively functions as the solid ground for his co-performer’s showier performance, and, as far as I heard from others, he did a fairly nice job of speaking Japanese with some necessary awkwardness as required.

Although it is not so different from many other neat Japanese melodrama films during recent years, “Butterfly Sleep” distinguishes itself to some degree via its interesting setting and sincere storytelling, and its overall result is both entertaining and touching enough for recommendation. It may be predictable, but this is a well-made movie packed with genuine feelings, and it certainly earns its tears in the end.

Best romcom ever

Ahmm!!!😍
I loved this drama so much !!! Okay so im someone who is into crime , thriller and suspense that keeps me on the edge of the seat but this drama was an exception and I thought why not try it ?
So I did and I loved it so much !
So unlike other dramas this drama doesn't have so much to it but it still pleases you .... It is very light hearted and warm and you'll feel really good watching this if u r under stress or if u r a really busy person and u cannot often keep up with the story's suspense and all this drama is for u...
The characters in this drama are all soooo adorable and warm ... It truly felt like a family!🤗 I think the cast did a great job in giving us small giggles and making us feel warm all along !
I love how PSJ portrayed the male main lead .... I mean I did feel a bit bad but it was fun watching lee sung hyun so full of himself, arrogant and self centered but as the character further opens up u get to know that there more to him and hes like a coconut which is hard on the outside but soft from the inside .... I mean he did really care about mi so a lot its just that he didn't show it .... And mi so did a great job turning him into a new person and helping him open up...
And mind you there are a lot of love birds in the office😁😉 !
When I first started watching it I wondered why PSJ was so adamant on keeping mi so by his side but as the story proceeds you get to know!😁
I think this drama is just a small part of everybody's life where you feel you should quit and just rest now , get married have children, make a family...but it still was so cute looking at the couples cute it's and buts!☺
Overall its a fun experience watching this drama.... If you are having a tiring day and don't have anything to do or if u r feeling a bit low be sure to watch this drama ! Trust me it will surely heal you and entertain you to the fullest!

Story was so good..

An absolutely beautiful show, *See You in My 19th Life* has surpassed all the other kdramas I've seen thus far. It is exquisitely crafted, with every moment captivating and delightful. The inclusion of *Star by Colde*, adds an extra layer of soothing charm. Interestingly, I had listened to this song even before watching the drama, and it truly complements the storytelling.

The show starts off on a high note, skillfully weaving and entangling its storyline without resorting to the typical love triangles found in other kdramas. Moreover, it successfully avoids the inclusion of toxic characters, making it a refreshing and enjoyable experience. I found myself reminiscing about the show's every moment, unable to tear my eyes away.

Despite having other important tasks at hand, I simply couldn't resist watching it in one go. I implore you not to skip this kdrama; you'll forever regret it.

A must watch 💕

The real star of the movie is definitely Yeo Jingoo’s

, Ditto was an interesting watch. I’m not sure if I would watch it again or not but either way, it definitely held my attention until the end because I wanted to see how things would turn out. The first part of the movie is stronger, as it’s more focused on them as characters and the university atmosphere, as well as setting this friendship between Yong and Mu Nee, who are from two different times. It was fun seeing them use the radio, whining to each other, pouring their hearts out as well as following their university struggles (mostly love ones). I expected Mu Nee to be a bigger character than she actually is as she doesn’t show up nearly as much as I thought she would (we know barely anything about her lifestyle for example) but I can say that I enjoyed Cho Yihyun’s acting here so much more than in All of Us Are Dead – she was such a cutie.

The real star of the movie is definitely Yeo Jingoo’s Yong as he’s carrying the plot the entire movie. He’s chaotic, nice but crazy chaotic, and I’m not even sure if I liked his character or not. He had me torn, especially when the plot twist kicked in and he started acting like a maniac. Okay, I’m being dramatic but so was he. Some of his actions were definitely way too dramatic for the situation in question, especially regarding his relationship, because we have no clue why he even liked this girl so much in the first place to the point he was going insane thinking about not being with her. King, even in 1999 you needed some therapy. On another hand, we get Yeo Jingoo once again crying in the rain and he’s the master of that – he invented having a mental breakdown in the pouring rain.

It’s hard to talk about Ditto without spoiling the main plot twist which pretty much follows the entire second part of the movie but I will say that Ditto was more and less what I expected. More, in the sense that I enjoyed the friendship aspect of it as well as the main two characters themselves, and less in the sense that it was definitely bordering on the too-dramatic line by the end of the movie which can be a hit-or-miss. However, I think the film rounded up nicely and gave a satisfying ending to everyone, both from the past and the present. My final rating was 9/10 but if you like these actors like I do, give it a go – it’s a nice movie. A bit sad but nice. And there’s a pet turtle!

AVERAGE..... DRAMA ??But if like romance stuff u can try it!

This Kdrama is such a beautiful ride 🤎 I read and loved it! While obviously, the series doesn't exactly follow the same storyline, the essentials are here. It is a great mix of cuteness, comedy, romance and mystery. The ensemble cast does a great job of bringing this story to life, the music is exquisite, and the cinematography, colors are so connected to Manhoya.
I started watching this drama for Cha Eun Woo - loved him in Island, True Beauty and more - and he's perfect for the role. He is such a versatile actor, he brings something new and unique to every new role he plays.
She is a nice surprise, JIN Seo Won's role suits her really well.
The chemistry between the leads is great and the cute and awkward romance aspect of the show is, I think, what makes it so fresh and enjoyable.
I recommend this drama to anyone looking for some cute romance, kind characters and laughs. Enjoy the ride!

Note: The only thing I dislike is having to wait so long for each episode to air. If you're like me and can't wait to know the whole story from start to finish, watch all the episodes in full once they've aired. I think it's a perfect show to watch on a weekend when you need a little more pastel color in your life.

When the second male lead is 10 times stronger than the male lead.....

Romantic K-drama that brings viewers into a world of love, deceit, and the complexities of human relationships. While the series has its strengths, it's important to acknowledge that there's room for improvement, particularly in the portrayal of the male lead, Hwan Min Hyun. However, amidst these challenges, Seo Ji Hoon shines brilliantly as the second male lead, stealing the spotlight with his exceptional acting and emotional depth.

Hwan Min Hyun, cast as the male lead, unfortunately, falls short of expectations. His acting, while possessing some charm, is found lacking in depth. One noticeable aspect is the limited range of facial expressions he brings to his character. This lack of emotional diversity makes it difficult for viewers to fully connect with his portrayal. In a romantic drama, it's crucial for the male lead to convey a wide spectrum of emotions to establish a strong connection with the audience. In this regard, Min Hyun's performance leaves much to be desired.

In stark contrast, Seo Ji Hoon's portrayal of the second male lead is nothing short of remarkable. Ji Hoon infuses his character with extraordinary depth and authenticity. He masterfully navigates the emotional complexities of his character's tragic backstory, bringing every nuance of sadness, joy, and pain to life. Ji Hoon's immersive performance draws viewers into his character's world, making it impossible not to empathize with his struggles and triumphs.

The love triangle, a common trope in K-dramas, takes on a different dimension in Useless Lies. While some dramas may fall into the trap of predictability, this series manages to breathe new life into the trope. It's true that from the outset, it's evident that the second male lead won't have a chance with the female lead. However, Seo Ji Hoon's compelling performance adds depth to the storyline. His character's endearing yet heartbreaking journey serves to tug at the heartstrings of the audience in a way that feels genuine and emotionally resonant. While the outcome may be expected, the emotional journey of the characters keeps viewers invested and emotionally engaged.

The story is its own unique strength. In a landscape of K-dramas that often rely on familiar plotlines and clichés, this drama stands out with its originality. The central narrative revolves around complex characters and the web of deceit that surrounds them. While the story maintains its originality, it's worth noting that, as with many dramas, it becomes somewhat predictable as it unfolds. To elevate the series further, introducing more unexpected twists and turns in the later episodes could have maintained the intrigue and kept viewers on their toes.

The chemistry between the main couple is a vital factor in any romantic drama's success, and the drama doesn't disappoint much. The interactions between the female lead and the male lead, despite the challenges posed by Min Hyun's acting, carry a certain charm. Their moments of vulnerability and connection are touching, making it easy for viewers to root for their relationship. While Min Hyun's facial expressions may lack diversity, the chemistry between the leads helps compensate for this, drawing viewers into their emotional journey.

The drama commences on a strong note with comedy scenes that infuse humor and levity into the story. These early moments of humor effectively hook viewers with a smile. However, it's worth noting that as the story progresses, the comedic elements become less prominent. A sustained dose of humor throughout the series, especially in the later episodes, could have enriched the overall viewing experience and provided moments of light-heartedness amidst the emotional intensity.

In conclusion this is filled with heart and potential. While it may have its shortcomings, particularly in the portrayal of the male lead, it remains a compelling series that offers a fresh and original storyline. Seo Ji Hoon's exceptional acting elevates the drama, and the love triangle, though seemingly predictable, is made more poignant by his performance. With a commitment to refining its comedic elements and introducing unexpected plot twists, could have been even more exceptional. Nonetheless, it remains an entertaining and emotionally resonant drama that captures the complexities of love and deceit in a unique way, making it worth the watch.

Absolutely recommended

Absolutely recommended. The cast are visually amazing, their chemistry as well is undeniable. I love the whole story but the progress of it is very slow but its not stressful, its a slow pacing relaxing drama. I love everything about it, congratulations to Dylan Wang and Bai Lu for their amazing acting that captivated everyone as well as the other cast who is absolutely doing their best to portray their character as well. Big thank you for all the people behind this drama who made this into reality more power to you guys, the crew, the production and the writer. I've been watching kdrama for a long time and just started watching chinese drama last year, I realized Chinese dramas are more relaxing and family oriented and I will choose this over a very stressful drama, life in reality is stressful already . I wish to visit China even once to experience the beauty the country offers as well as to experience its culture. Thank you for this amazing drama that made us experience your culture and made us realized your beauty. Cheers to more Chinese drama and I hope more project for Dylan and Bai Lu in the future,

THESE DRAMA NEEDS OSCAR!

The episodes captivate viewers from beginning to end, delivering a riveting narrative filled with numerous plot twists. The storyline intricately weaves through many philosophical situations and moral dilemmas, compelling the audience to engage in profound contemplation. Moreover, the series offers a unique perspective on the afterlife, exploring the consequences of choosing death before it naturally arrives to greet us.

However, the narrative tends to adopt a somewhat preachy tone, heavily laden with religious elements. Regrettably, it falls short of addressing the core issue of suicide – the deteriorating mental health of individuals. The storyline neglects a profound exploration of societal challenges that drive people to resort to such drastic measures. Furthermore, it seemingly disregards the protagonist’s internal struggles, focusing solely on the repercussions of his actions on others. Adding to the complexity, what initially set out as a contemplation on life and death quickly transforms into a revenge-driven narrative, significantly veering away from its original thematic essence.

Death's Game Part 2 Review: Entertaining Yet Struggles to Strike the Right Balance Amidst Heavy-Handed Preaching
Nevertheless, the narrative is undeniably captivating, to say the least. It unfolds with a myriad of crucial facets that shed light on unique scenarios, providing us with insights into situations we might have never contemplated before. Beyond its informative elements, the storyline proves to be thoroughly entertaining, drawing viewers into its rich tapestry.
The commendable performances of the cast contribute significantly to its allure, with Kim Ji-hoon standing out prominently. His portrayal is particularly noteworthy, infusing the character with depth and nuance. Equally praiseworthy is Seo In-guk, who consistently embodies his role, immersing himself completely in the narrative and adding layers of authenticity to the overall storytelling experience.
