A light, normal day-to-day story of running a restaurant
I found this slice of life show to be very chill and amusing. There's not much to talk about, you just have to watch a few episodes to see for yourself if this is your cup to tea. I personally like it since I can watch a few episodes of these whenever I have a stressful or tiring day and see what everyone in the restaurant is up to today like how many plates did Kawai break today or where is Yamagata dozing off and sleeping this time or what's Kurosu having for dinner tonight.
In my honest opinion, I do have to admit I'd say this was a rather underwhelming role for Satomi. She does have a good eye on picking good projects when it comes to dramas and that's not to say this drama wasn't particularly good but her role in this was pretty much, just.. fine and that's about it. Her role here is rather underwhelming compared to the many other roles she's had before like Unnatural, Takane no Hana and recently Unsung Cinderella, etc. Though I did hear she wanted to redeem herself after playing a complex character in Takane no Hana (the drama she had before this). She does switches up a lot of her looks and styles throughout every episode which reminds me a lot of her role in Jimi ni Sugoi.
Shison Jun's character is quite literally a 7 year old boy trapped in a man's body and he does a very good job at that lol. At first, he is kinda annoying (mostly because you won't find any adult who behaves like the way he does and he really is like a kid lol) in the first few episodes but when you're around Episode 4 or 5, you've pretty much grown accustomed to him and accepted that he's just the way that he is, lol.
There's also the floating heads above their heads whenever they have their inner thoughts which at first can be off-putting but as you go on and watch more, you'll pretty much get what's the purpose of those heads and get used to them quickly.. Doesn't make them less weird though and I have no idea why this drama has the romance tag.
Other than that, the music and the cast is solid. Fukushi Sota is rather stoic here but that's only because his character requires him to be like so. There's also some nice cameos throughout the show.
It might not be everyone's cup of tea, like I mentioned, you'll have to watch 2-3 episodes to decide for yourself if this is something that's right up your alley and IMO, I found it more enjoyable after the first few episodes so there's that to keep in mind if you're planning to watch this show. All in all, it's very much a chill, relaxing drama to watch if you have time to spare or just want to have a good time after a tiring day.
7/10. Recommended, I do see myself rewatching one or two episodes here and there.
