Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An's new JTBC K-drama confirms its official cast
The action historical JTBC K-drama God’s Beads confirmed its main leads.
On February 7, it was officially confirmed that Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Sung Min, Claudia Kim, and Ha Yoon Kyung would work together to bring life to the happenings in 1258, during the Goryeo dynasty.
God's Beads is set during the Goryeo Dynasty at the height of the Mongol empire. It will reveal a team's love and friendship while searching for the country's holy relics.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Jeong Dae Yun (Reborn Rich, W, and She Was Pretty) and writer Jung Hyun Min (The Tale of Nokdu). Celltrion Entertainment and SLL will produce it.
God's Beads will reportedly air within this year. The K-drama will have a total of 12 episodes and will exclusively air on JTBC.
Ahn Bo Hyun will portray the role of Baek Gyeol, a passionate convoy team commander. He was previously a high-ranking warrior who protected the royal family. He was then assigned to be a convoy commander to separate him from the emperor's daughter, with whom he had fallen in love.
Lee Sung Min will portray Choi Koo, a war veteran. In the Goryeo dynasty, he is considered one of the highest-ranking officials in the special forces division. He was also selected to be part of the team, where he will meet Baek Gyeol.
Claudia Kim, on the other hand, will portray Wang Hee. She is the emperor's youngest daughter. Due to her arranged marriage, she chose to remain out of the public eye. While confined to the palace, she falls in love with Baek Gyeol.
Ha Yoon Kyung will play Geol Sung, the team's guide. She currently owns a successful shop on Ganghwa Island, but her life takes a chaotic turn after meeting Baek Gyeol and agreeing to guide the team.
