'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' star Ha Young in talks to join Jung Hae In in a new rom-com!

Actress Ha Young will reportedly star in her first-ever rom-com leading role in the upcoming K-drama This Sucky Love (literal translation).

On February 11, media outlets reported that Ha Young has been chosen to be Jung Hae In's female lead in the upcoming K-drama This Sucky Love. 

Ha Young's agency Bistus Entertainment responded to the casting reports. According to them, "Ha Young received the offer to lead This Sucky Love and she is positively reviewing it."

This Sucky Love will tell the romance story of a second-in-command of an organization with exceptional boxing skills and a detective with amnesia. 

Jung Hae In got the offer to star as the second-in-command of an organization that is good in boxing while Ha Young will reportedly play the role of the detective. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Kim Jang Han (My Demon) and writer Mo Ji Hye. The two previously worked together in the 2021 K-drama You Raise Me Up. 

This Sucky Love is currently in discussion to premiere through a global OTT platform. 

If Ha Young confirms her casting, this will be her first time to lead a rom-com K-drama. 

This will also be her follow-up project after the successful Netflix original K-drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. She was praised for her performance and her great chemistry with co-stars Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Yoon Gyung Ho, Jeong Jae Kwang, Kim Eui Sung, and more. 

Last year, Ha Young appeared in the KBS K-drama Face Me with Lee Min Ki, Han Ji Hyun, Lee Yi Kyung, Jeon Bae Soo, and Lee Seung Woo.

Ha Young is known for being part of the K-dramas Doona!, The Good Detective Season 2, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Now, We Are Breaking Up, and more.
