Squid Game Season 2 actress Won Ji An fourth upcoming K-drama will be Waiting for Gyeong Do.
It was officially confirmed on February 18 that Won Ji An will join hands with Park Seo Joon in the upcoming JTBC romantic comedy K-drama Waiting for Gyeong Do.
Waiting for Gyeong Do will tell the story of a man and a woman who met and fell in love when they were in their twenties and got reunited at an unexpected moment in their lives.
Won Ji An will portray the role of Seo Ji Woo. She is the daughter of a conglomerate and is known for being a troublemaker celebrity. She was Lee Gyeong Do's first love.
Park Seo Joon will portray the role of Lee Gyeong Do, an entertainment reporter for Dongwoon Ilbo.
Waiting for Gyeong Do will be the collaboration work of director Im Hyun Wook (King the Land and Reflection of You) and writer Yoo Young Ah (Dog Days, Thirty-Nine, Kim Ji Young: Born 1982, and Encounter).
The K-drama will reportedly premiere in the second half of 2025. It will exclusively air on JTBC with 12 episodes.
Aside from Waiting for Gyeong Do, Won Ji An will also star in the star-studded upcoming Disney+ K-drama Tempest with Kang Dong Won, Jun Ji Hyun, Kim Hae Sook, Lee Mi Sook, Yoo Jae Myung, and Park Hae Joon.
She will also be the female lead in the upcoming action thriller series Made in Korea alongside Hyun Bin, Jung Woo Sung, Seo Eun Soo, Cho Yeo Jung, and Jung Sung Il.
Won Ji An will also return to Netflix with the upcoming K-drama Pleasant Outcast with Sung Yoo Bin, Jo Hyun Chul, Bae Gang Hee, Lee Suk Hyeong, and Uhm Jun Gi.
