Mun Ka Young and Choi Hyun Wook cosplay their game characters in My Dearest Nemesis.
My Dearest Nemesis follows Baek Soo Jung (Mun Ka Young), the team leader of a planning team at Yongseong Department Store, haunted by her embarrassing past, and Ban Ju Yeon (Choi Hyun Wook), a third-generation chaebol working as the director of Strategic Planning at Yongseong Department Store who hides his alter ego "Black Dragon" to get recognized as the conglomerate's heir. The duo previously met each other as video game characters during their school years. Sixteen years later, they reunite, this time as a boss and employee.
The newly released stills show Baek Soo Jung (Mun Ka Young) and Ban Ju Yeon (Choi Hyun Wook) transformed into their online game characters. These images depict the in-game world where the two first meet, with their game nicknames "Strawberry" and "Black Dragon".
They make perfect game mates, demonstrating seamless coordination as they team up to fight every battle. Baek Soo Jung appears in a blue outfit, her hair tied up in a topknot, disguised as a man. Playing the role of a "Healer" with the ability to restore health, she helps Ban Ju Yeon's "Black Dragon" character.
Meanwhile, Choi Hyun Wook transforms into a swordsman. With his face partially hidden behind a mask, he exudes an aura of a strong and reliable character.
At the K-drama's press conference held on February 12, Mun Ka Young revealed, "To bring the online game scenes to life, Choi Hyun Wook and I trained together at an action school to perfect our coordination."
With this in mind, anticipation is growing for the in-game sequences and the actor's action performances in the drama.
My Dearest Nemesis is premiering on February 17 and will be streaming on Rakuten Viki. Watch the latest teaser here.
