The production team of Riding Life has released still cuts of the mother-daughter trio: Jung Eun (Jeon Hye Jin), Ji Ah (Jo Min Soo), and Seo Yoon (Kim Sa Rang).
Riding Life follows Jung Eun (Jeon Hye Jin), a passionate working mom preparing her daughter for entrance exam from a young age, who entrusts her mother, Ji Ah (Jo Min Soo), with the task of driving her daughter to the hagwon (academy).
The images capture Jung Eun flashing a warm "mom smile" at Seo Yoon, while Ji Ah is in full "doting mode". Seo Yoon, adorable as a chick, adds to the charm. In particular, child actress Kim Sa Rang is said to have gone above and beyond in her role, holding her own between the two established actresses, Jeon Hye Jin and Jo Min Soo.
Director Kim Chul Gyu shared his thoughts on her casting, saying, "The most important thing I consider when selecting child actors is whether they truly give a feeling like that of a child. Rather than focusing on prior acting experience, I try to cast kids who show potential. In that sense, Sa Rang stood out." Jeon Hye Jin expressed her affection for Kim Sa Rang, saying, "When I first met her, I just thought she was adorable. But as we filmed episodes and worked together, I could see why the director cast her out of all the child actors. I was surprised at how well [she] performed that I had no reason to worry."
Jo Min Soo praised Kim Sa Rang, saying, "Expressing emotions at such a young age is incredibly difficult, but she did it so naturally and adorably. Viewers will get to see just how remarkable her performance is."
Riding Life will premiere on March 3. News about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
