so so so cute
I absolutely adored this!! It was very entertaining and all the actors had insane chemistry! The storyline itself had ups and downs but I found throughout the whole thing I stayed interested and entertained. There was never a moment where I was bored with how it was going and I was always eager to see where it would go next.
The actors chemistry, both in the main couple and the two side couples, was incredible! You could tell they all really loved working together and fit really well. Even from watching interviews and behind the scenes, off screen their chemistry is just as good as on screen! I wish we got more of the side couples but that's okay.
Also, the songs really added to the story. I loved all of them!

The BL by the book which is entertaining
Have you ever watched a drama, series, or movie and just fallen so hard for it?Cutie Pie the Series is THAT series for me.
It might be another Thai BL adapted from a famous BL novel for some people.
It might be a cliche and mundane plot which from the trailer you will say is another series that only sell NC and looks.
It might be a series that is problematic as some of the actors had disturbing pasts that gained them enough haters which later affect their partners as well as the series itself.
It might be a series produced by the company that is again deemed notorious for various reasons.
However, let me tell you. There is really nothing wrong with Cutie Pie the Series.
Its initial story is about two males whose marriage has been arranged since they are young. If you don't find that interesting, take a look at that statement again.
An arranged marriage between two males is not something you find in many BL adaptations. I have watched a lot, since Takumi-kun series movie, real-time, so trust me.
Both leads have known one another and have established their relationship so what's the issue?
COMMUNICATION!
And some of you will say "Oh, come on, why don't you just talk?"
I'll give it back to you by saying that both main characters have different ages, backgrounds, statuses, hobbies, interests, and histories. Yeah, they might like one another but like will not solve things. Insecurity exists. Kuea cannot tell the truth about himself makes sense. Lian cannot open himself makes sense too. The series tells you why the main characters' feeling is valid. But if you do have a problem with communication issues as the main drama plot, you can skip this one, and it's okay.
Now, we go to the good things.
The visuals: Extraordinary
The chemistry: Out of this world
The costumes: Very supportive
The OSTs: Confirm eargasm
The side couples: Fun stuffs
But for sure, this series will make you smile, angry, curse, melt, and LMAOing nonstop. And those are what make this series a nice one to entertain your days. Mandee Channel just wants to make you happy when watching it. It's okay if you don't find the joy but please don't take it away from those having it.

My happy pill on my Sunday mornings
I love this series just the way it is. I know that people think it has a shallow plot and that it's not as remarkable as the other most recent BLs, but to me, it serves is purpose the way I expect it would be after watching the trailer. Or maybe, I am just lucky to find it before it blew up, so I don't have the expectation that the others have.Let's see. I guess the series charms began with Kuea being relatable to me, in the sense that like him, I also have my "weird side" that I can't freely talk aboit with with my parents and some of my friends. For example, I'm into anime which for some are "for kids", kpop, which somehow, for some reason, people have a problem with, and BL, which, in a country where bigotry is prominent, something that could cause me trouble. I do relate to Kuea being scared to reveal his other hobbies.
I know that people have a problem with Kuea at the latter part of the episodes, but not me. Again, I guess, I relate to him on a personal level, especially when he chose to just pretend that nothing is wrong after his mother lied to him. Yes, it wasn't the best course of action, but blissful ignorance is sometimes tempting, especially when you're really scared. When he walked out of that birthday celebration, even when my heart breaks for Lian, I also know, from the point of view of someone who shuts down in stressful situations, what it feels like. Sometimes, fears just eat us up and we don't realize what we're doing until we finally calm down, and then another wave of emotion will hit us. The guilt that followed Kuea that night, once again, is relatable for me.
As for the relationships, I don't see much of an issue about it as much as others do. First, when I look at the couples, I don't see them as a standard of relationship. I do see the flaws, but given how they're flawed people, I don't expect their relationship to be perfect. Without focusing on the age gap, Yi and Lian are both equally inexperience with relationship. Their actions don't translate well to their intentions, but a lot of times in the series what they really mean. Lian never wanted to Kuea to stop his hobbies. He only wanted Kuea to trust him with his real self. Yi doesn't have a problem with what Diao is doing. He just wants to be informed. And I know that it's not healthy to when a patner demands to know everything you do, but knowing the back story makes me understand where he was coming from. Diao got hurt before when he was with Yi, and Yi is scared that it will happen again. It's a pity that in the series, there's still a lot to be addressed about this couple even after their reconciliation. But given that they're a side couple and less of a focus in the series, I can be forgiving.
Funny enough, as much as the others gush about the third couple, I don't care much about them. I'm just glad that Nuea bas finally let go of his crush on Kuea. Although third couple is really cute. Syn is cute, and his moments, along with Foei's, are delightful.
I also like to comment on the series attempt to address a lot of issues such as marriage equality, the treatment of LGBTQ + in media, and setting boundaries among friends. While it didn't reach the level of Not Me in terms of activism, for a series that is advertised as cute (uhm, it's called Cutie Pie), and romance-focused, it did it's best, and delivered the message well. And while people outside Thailand, or people outside of Asia aren't satisfied, it delivered the message timely, especially in Thailand.
The music is the best! I love Nunew's voice, but I don't know why. Nat's song has been echoing in my ears for days.
The production and cinematography are great. I admit, I don't really care much about this, but I do like the colors beginning from the first episode.
The acting was great. Zee, Max and Nat did better than on their previous works, and Nunew is amazing on his first acting job.
All in all, it may not be the best for others, but I don't think it's the worse either. I was entertained. I don't feel like I wasted my time watching it. I'll watch it again this Sunday.
P. S. People of the internet. I am not a troll. Just someone who enjoys something that you don't. Don't come at me. It's already hard to find the courage to express love for something when I already witness people be attacked for having a different opinion.

WHY THIS SERIES?
basically, don't even judge by the negative comment because it's depends on what kind of genre you like. This series really my taste because it rom-com. Give it try first, because everyone had their one preference. I said this because some of u prefer KP but I don't. So, don't said it bad if it's not your taste. If you think its too cliché or what. First this series is adaption from novel, so don't expect it to be like real life. For the OST, I would say, It's PERFECT! because I luv it all. I just can say, this series is my comfort series. Now my day became lonely~ Hope you guys can enjoy it.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

This is by FAR the best series 2022 brought us!
Honestly, i've been wanting to watch this series for a while, but due lack of time i ended up only watching it now.As i know Zee is an amazing actor i would know this would be good, but i didn't expect it to be THIS good!
I think the plot is somewhat different from the main BL's so that keeps it interesting, i also love how it has plot twists which at first you do not see coming, keeps it interesting and fun.
The Acting, ALL of them did so well in this area, i wasn't familiar with all the actors in this BL but they are deffinetly worth watching into, they portait the characters really well, they also all knew amazingly well how to show and make emotions known, you can feel them through the screen, which isn't easy to do. The 3 couples were so cuuuuute, i think the chemistry that Zee and Nunew have is such a strong one, a loving yet passionate one and it is so clearly seen in their acting. Also quite a fan of the Nat x Max couple, their own story in the series makes it great and their acting is amazing, and Yim x Tutor are so cute haha. And not gonna lie, if you like skinship this is a MUST to watch, it has so much lovely dovely skin scenes.. i adored it >///<
Music is just, amazing, let's be honest this series has an amazing OST and it's by far the best that has been brought out, the songs are so lovely and the vocals sound amazing.
Only thing i didn't like as much is how Hia Lian Changed in his emotions from zero to hundred in 1 episode time, personally i'd think they had to smooth it out a bit more. Not that it was that bothersome but it's the only thing i can think of.
Will deffinetly try to watch more series of all of these actors, they are all amazing.

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT SERIESSS!
BROOO!!! THIS S JUST SO PERFECTTT!!! idk why people gave this such a low ratinggg! maybe this series is just not their type but for me? this is literally what i am looking for in bl series. their acting? the ost? the story? the visual? (boy they're just so fit in each other) it's so perfect.. and anyway, if u don't want an age gap into relationship and excellent acting (also childhood friends to lover) this series is just not for u. please don't watch it if u don't want to but give it a try if you're interested. after episode by episode the story just makes sense. they're in arrange marriage so there's also a trust issue, secret feelings and doubt but dw they are all cleared out by the episodes and they also trust each other!! anyway, i stan them now as a couple (since they said that they're a couple) and also as an individual. they're also a great singer especially NuNew Chawarinn! i love his voice so muchhh!!! (make sure to check his MV's and Covers) special mention to their side coupless, omg i love NuerSyn bcs they're in a healthy relationship and came from enemies to loversss! then for YiDiao, they're really cute, they just have a secret feelings for each other but they are denying it until Yi can't and ofc Diao is so cute dksksk he's really innocent, i love him in this series, he's just so supportive to Kuea and so pure! this is funny too, lol dksksk and many people think this has no plot? bro? are u even reading the subtitle? they just really don't like cutie pie but keep watching it so they could give this a bad review lol. and also i think people who's watching are twisting their words so they could make think people it's weird? lmao anyway, good luck with this seriess!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

DONT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS
i had this drama on my list for a while but always put it off due to the bad reviews, so when i finally watched it i wasn’t expecting much, but omg this has to be one of my favourite bls i’ve watched so far!Everything from the characters, the acting, the visuals, the soundtrack and the couples, i love it so much. i honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this show. I really wanna mention how the show focuses on gay marriage and really brings light to how 2 men or 2 women loving eachother is no different to a man and woman loving eachother, due to gay marriage not being legalised and fully excepted in thailand like opposite sex couples are. I was really impressed that they shed light onto such an important issue.
HIA LIAN AND KUEA:
The main thing i saw that people had an issue with was the toxicity between Hia Lian and Kuea, but if you compare it to some other bl couples they really aren’t toxic at all, it was actually very refreshing. These guys made me smile so much my mouth would hurt! At the beginning their relationship was very one sided with Kuea being the only one seemingly interested, but when he decides to call off the arranged engagement due to Hia Lian basically rejecting him, Hia then realises his actual feelings towards kuea. We see their relationship grow throughout the series and their chemistry is unmatched! And omg the spicy scenes… they weren’t just full on sex, but you could see the passion and love they feel for eachother just by kissing. Not to mention the consent!!! I loved that Hia always made sure Kuea was okay with what they were doing it was lovely to see, considering how common dubious consent and r*pe is in bls. ZeeNuNew seriously did an amazing job.
OTHER COUPLES:
This is genuinely the only show where i’ve actually enjoyed the side couples.
i really loved Hia Yi and Khondiao, they were actually adorable. At first i was a little worried where they’re relationship would go, but it just kept getting better. Yi cares for Diao so much, at first it was because he felt guilty since he was the reason Diao lost some of his childhood memories, but you could really see the love they have for eachother as their relationship grew and i really started rooting for them. Diao was a little annoying at times i wont lie… But Nat did a great job playing him. Both Nat and Max did amazing.
Now for Syn and Nuer, i am so obsessed with this couple! I just wish they had more screen time but im excited to watch Cutie Pie 2 to see the rest of their story. I’m a sucker for Enemies to Lovers and i also loved Yim in Bed Friend so i may be being biased but i really enjoyed every scene between them.
ACTING:
I really wanna dedicate a paragraph to NuNew because holy shit that man is not only stunning but insanely talented. I couldn’t believe this was his first drama! His acting was so raw and real, he really knew how to portray different emotions. The crying scene in episode 12 made me cry from how real it felt. And i of course have to mention his gorgeous voice, when Kuea first started singing on stage i literally prepared myself to cringe but i ended up putting my headphones in and turning up the volume, he gave me chills everytime. NuNew seriously deserves every award he’s received.
The rest of the cast also did an amazing job especially Zee, i really loved him in Why R U and he continued to impress me, not to mention he is absolutely gorgeous.
HUMOUR:
I wasn’t expecting this drama to have so much comedic relief but some scenes honestly had me flying, all the characters got along so well and it was really nice to see friends in a bl genuinely love and support eachother.
SOUNDTRACK:
The soundtrack in this series was so good! From the songs Kuea would sing to the actual ost and even theme song.
—
There are so many other things about this show that i loved but i’ll just leave it here. I think cutie pie is so overhated and i have no idea why, I know everybody has preferences and i do understand why people may see Lian as controlling at first, but he literally allowed Kuea to live his actual life even if it meant he was being constantly lied to.
i enjoyed every second of this show and i’ll definitely be watching S2 and rewatching the show in general. I couldn’t recommend more!

Amazing!
This show is beautiful! I love it! I love the story! I love all the cast, they did an incredible job of acting! It's my top 3 shows! You have to watch it! If you want to. I love the plot and the story. Hopefully, there will be more Cutie Pie. I know there is Cutie Pie 2 You next. But I want more. I've already seen Cutie Pie 2 You. DomundiTV is amazing! I love everyone there and the cast from the show. I don't know how you would describe it. It's just the most amazing show I've ever seen! I love NuNew's voice he is such a great singer including others' cast. I love the setting. I kinda didn't like it in episode 1 it was a bit slow at that time. But when you get to the next episode and more it gets better.Everything is very beautiful! It's very emotional. Especially Cutie Pie 2 You. I'm very excited about other series that don't connect to this show except for Naughty Babe because they have the same name Kon-Diao and Hia Yi. Anyway, I'm very excited about Bed Friend, Middleman's Love, Zomvivor, The Next Prince, and Love Upon a Time. Zomvivor especially because it has everyone including Boss, Boun, and girls. Finally girls! This is excitement!

So cute!
I loved and still love this series! The story may not be so dramatic, but I love that. I love me some cute fluff! I've watched better plots, but that does NOT make this bad. I really liked it and thought it was really really cute and adorable. I also read the novel on meb and it really lives up to the novel in my opinion. The acting was so great and Nunew is a natural talent, he did so good! I kept forgetting it was his first work. And not only can he act he can also sing like an angel! The soundtrack is absolutely beautiful and fits well with the scenes.I keep going back and watching clips, because it's so cute and funny! I will highly recommend! Especially if you do not like too much angst. As someone who does not like angst this was perfect for me!

Pleasantly Surprised
This has a unique story concept. It has a strong beginning, but then the script gets a little off track. Episode 1 does a great job providing you the backstory of Kuea and Lian’s family, and how their friendship started. The storylines become a little hazy by episode 4. However, the last episode does end with a very uplifting message. The cast was great and did a great job with what they were given (the script has some problem areas with character development). The songs were great, but there were times they used music that did not fit the scene’s mood.Random Notes:
I was pleasantly surprised with this series. I was a little hesitant before watching this because I did not like Mandee’s last series (Why R U).
Lian’s house was used in the Baker Boys Series. Once again, I get a kick when I see a familiar location used in different series.

Plot/Storyline:
TBH the story was really interesting at first and I was hooked from the first few episodes. But from episode 7-8 onwards, it felt repetitive and there wasn't a huge climax or anything. The last few episodes felt very rushed, especially in 11 and 12 where I could kinda tell that the writers tried to squeeze in a conflict and resolve it in the end. However, they didn't have enough time to develop it well enough, in the end the two main characters barely resolved the issue.
Acting:
I think the acting in this show was superb with Zee and New. Especially for New since it's only his first series. As for Nat, some scenes were a little awkward but overall it was okay too. I really really loved Tutor and Yim's acting, even though they had very little screen time (they deserved more ://). They were really able to portray the vibes of innocent and pure love.
Music:
Oh my god, this series did such a great job with their music. It's even better when you find out the actors sang the OSTs themselves! New has such an amazing voice, he really is a gem. Aside from the original songs, New also covered some songs in the show which I fell in love with right after hearing it, such as Just Being Friendly by Tilly Birds (Go listen to this song, it's really worth it).
Overall, I think this series isn't as bad as everyone is saying it is. I'm really glad that they discussed the issue about the legalization of gay marriages. I do agree that the storyline could've been written a little better, but I think it's tolerable. To be honest, when I was watching this series, I was most excited for Nuea and Syn, they were so adorable and pure but sadly they literally only had like 5-10 minutes of screen time per episode. I think I would rewatch it again one day if I was bored and didn't have anything to do. I do appreciate the hard work that actors, director and staff put into the series!!
