This is a conceptual drama
I had been waiting for the release of this series for a long time because I thought I could follow the Train of beautiful thoughts and beliefs of Kim Jin Won that I had found Mainstream of that in two series "my country :new age" and "just between lovers", And the result was just that.It seems like the director is trying to convey a concept to the audience through different series in the form of various stories, and that is that none of us are victims of fate. We are choosers, not forced. It is ourselves who choose to be happy or live in sorrow for our future.
Perhaps the most beautiful and tangible dialogue in this series, in expressing this concept, was the dialogue of Nam Si Heon in episode 9, who said, "We were changing our destiny. No matter how little. By our own choices and based on our own desires."
Nevertheless, my expectations were much higher before watching this series. Everything in this series was average or maybe slightly better for me. The series had a beautiful message, the actors played their roles beautifully, the story was new and beautiful, the excitement of the series was suitable, and finally, the ending was good and acceptable. However, nothing was extraordinary.
It seemed like everything could have ended in episode 9 and I liked that ending. Nevertheless, the series continued for three more episodes, which were accompanied by a slight decline. Perhaps the writer wanted to give another chance for better choices to be made by Jung In Kyu and Kwon Min Ju as well so that they could have a more beautiful destiOverall though, the ending was satisfying for me.

Im soooo Confused???
Okay so I watched this drama for 1 reason only & of course that reason was bc of Ahn Hyo-seop's beautiful face! I dont nothing bout an original so I cant compare- maybe it wouldve helped me be able to follow the story bc I have no idea what the heck was going on? I think she was able to time travel after listening to a tape inside a walkman and land in another chicks body just bc they looked alike??? Okay so I can somewhat follow that but then they threw in that he also time traveled back into time into the boys body as well??? But they never showed him ever time traveling back??? Somehow he knew it would send her back so he mails the walkman to her in hopes she would go back in time and stop the murders from occurring so they all can live in the future- Han Jun-hee, Koo Yeon-jun, & Si-heon, Min-Ju, & In-gyu...Of course changing the course of the past changes the courses and lives in the future so I get that so how come in the end there was only Jun-hee & Si-heon??? Did the plane crash really happened that took Yeon-Juns life??? My conclusion, I think? is that Yeon-Jun never existed in Jun-hee's future since her entire life wiped away? It wouldve kinda came together more if at the end if Si-heon & Jun-hee introduced themselves on the bus & it took him back to his memory of when he saw her as a little girl when she told yelled her name to him & told him to remember the next time he saw her...I think alot of extra stories & scenes got thrown into this drama that made the story so difficult to follow when it couldve been made clearer by leaving alot of them out. I guess the story is way beyond my intelligence but I do have to admit, none of it took away from Ahn hyo-seop's handsomeness & I totally enjoyed watching him! That was the very best thing bout this drama, hands down!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

It makes sense in the end!
I left a review on this show 9 episodes in and it was basically about how I loved the feel of the show, especially when in the 90s but I was just so confused and felt like the timeline was hard to keep up with. Now that I have finished the show, there are still some things I don't understand but the main storyline I get now.Like I said I really enjoyed the 90s vibes, the cinematography, and the sweet relationships between the main characters. It made me happy that in-gyu had a chance in the end with min-ju and that even though they can't remember the time travelling, her getting in the accident benefited her in that she felt more at peace and almost had a new beginning at life. Also how Si-heon and Jun-hee did meet eventually in 2011, and how it ends openly and optimistically. Every episode I watched ended with so many twists and turns that it really makes you want to continue watching to know what it means and how it changes the future. Although it did make me sad and happy at the same time in the end lol.
Sure the twists and turns in the show were good and really captivating, but it also left me confused often and still now I don't get certain things. Because of this, I was tempted to drop the show but stuck it out and I'm glad that I did. It's crazy to comprehend most of the things that we saw over the course of the years in the show ended up never happening, specifically with si-heon and jun-hee.
I think the cast was great too, with Vincenzo being one of my favourite dramas, I'm super fond of Yeo-been and seeing this new side of her in this show was really cool to see.

Overall I enjoyed this show and would recommend it, especially if you like a mystery or magical aspects. The writers weaved the story well so as to keep you interested in the telling but also put all the pieces together by the end. While the overall experience was good I will say that the first and last two episodes were harder for me to get through. The first episode did not pull me in and make me want to continue watching, it took that second episode to get me interested. And the last two episodes had me skipping sections. While the story was wrapping up well I did feel like it was dragging on and I was just ready for it to get to the point. Those two episodes are the only two where I fast forwarded.
You really have to commend the actors here. While the main leads did not pull off the look of high school students well, they did however do a great job of distinguishing between characters and changed with the story well. They especially carry the emotional moments well. And while this is a highly emotional roller coaster of a show I never connected to the level of crying along with the characters which makes me feel like something was missing.
I do recommend you give this a watch and enjoy the fantastical story as it unfolds.

Heartfelt story
The timetravel dramas always be my favourite. This is one of my favourites. Even i was confused by the timestamps of their soul timetravel (yes they don't travel physically but just their soul) , i can understand it at the end. Jeon Yeobeen really did great by portraying two characters with totally different personality (and how could she still fits as a highschooler in her 30s??? queen certified fr). Nam Siheon is also a very warming character, I gonna cry everytime I listen to the song (Gather my Tears by Seo Jiwon).. i really recommend this drama.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I Can't Get Past How Idiotic the Time Travel Was
**This is just my opinion. I truly appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that went into the making of this drama. Thank you.**It's very difficult to write this without any spoilers but I'm going to try my best.
I was drawn to this drama because of the cast, namely Ahn Hyo Seop and Kang Hoon. They and the other actors did a very good job. Unfortunately this drama has one of, if not the, worst time travel devices I've ever seen or read about in a book. There was never any explanations given. We were just supposed to "turn our minds off at the door" so to speak. I tried. I really, really tried, but seriously. It's really asking too much. At least set some consistent rules for yourself if you're going to go this route and make it make sense.
The male lead characters, Koo Yeon Jun/Nam Si Heon played by Ahn Hyo Seop and Jung In Kyu played by Kang Hoon, were wonderful. Both of them were sweet, very intelligent, kind, self sacrificing and tragic. They were what kept me watching. Jeon Yeo Been did a good job playing the dual roles of Kwon Min Ju and Han Jun Hee. I just didn't like the characters. As Min Ju she was dour, not very bright, angry, resentful, bitter and walked like she was an extra for The Walking Dead. As Jun Hee she was intelligent, outgoing, aggressive at times yet kinder than Min Ju.
Despite the issues that I had with the time traveling and how various aspects of it didn't make any sense to me, I thought that the story itself had some very touching moments. I was moved by the friendship betweean Si Heon and In Kyu and the love between Yeon Jun/Si Heon and Jun Hee. It was worth watching just to see them.

overall it was a creative story line with unexpected plot twists which was nice
ending was alright but left me wanting more :(but overall it was a pretty good drama. I've never seen the original so I can't compare.... but it was a creative plot I'II give them that and they had quite a few plot twists I didn't see coming so that was nice, but something about it felt off. like I was interested but not necessarily hooked.
i personally wouldnt rewatch it and i would recommend it to a friend only to get their take on it/talk about it and to see if they have trouble understanding all the timelines (cause i didnt but in the comments sections it seems like many did haha)

Just finished watching
Ok ok, wow too many things happened and i just finished watching!Well, first i need to say that this drama made me fell so freaking damn sad
i know Si-Heon and Jun-hee ended up together but i just can't take it, you know? it feels weird i wish they could stay together before but it wasn't possible. at least MinJu and InGyu stayed together!
actually, i have so many questions about the time travel 😭 scenes that for an example: minju died and suddenly junhee came back to minju's body(like how is that possible if she's dead??!) ok but what about Si-heon?? Yeo-jun and Si-heon from 2023 died but Si-heon from 1998 was alive?!?! aaah there's more but they won't fit here lol
anyways, acting 10/10 i love hyoseop, yobeen and now i met kang hoon!! he's amazing 💕
the song, gather my tears somehow made me fell so nostalgic and sad, and when i discovered the story of the singer, ah, i cried.
gathering everything, 9.0!! i wouldn't re-watch because i normally don't re-watch dramas but i totally recommend!! i love dramas that makes me cry

A Captivating Journey Through Time and Emotion
As someone who hadn't seen the original version, I ventured into "A Time Called You" with no preconceived notions, and what I discovered left me thoroughly impressed. As a devoted fan of time travel dramas, this undoubtedly captured my attention from the very beginning. This genre often presents complex narratives that can be challenging to follow, but this drama pleasantly surprised me with its ability to deliver a compelling story with remarkable clarity, even as someone who hadn't seen the original version.
This remake of a beloved classic masterfully weaves mystery, romance, and friendship into a gripping narrative. Yet, it doesn't shy away from tackling weighty issues like loss, grief, and self-esteem, evoking a whirlwind of emotions typical of K-dramas.
Jeon Yeo Been's performance as the leading lady is undeniably outstanding, with her standout scene in the final episode, set before a mirror, leaving a lasting impact.
"A Time Called You" had me on the edge of my seat, a feeling I hadn't experienced in a long time. However, it's important to note that for those unaccustomed to time travel dramas, some initial confusion may arise. Nevertheless, if you're seeking a well-crafted narrative and heartfelt performances, this drama is an absolute must-watch.

A Time Called You: A heartwarming and emotional time-travel romance
ReviewThe series is a unique and refreshing take on the time-travel genre. It is not your typical time-travel romance, as it does not focus on the mechanics of time travel. Instead, it focuses on the emotional journey of the characters.
The cast gives strong performances. Jeon Yeo-been is particularly good as Lee Yeon-seo. She brings a lot of depth and emotion to the role. Ahn Hyo-seop is also good as Goo Woong. He is charming and likable, and he has good chemistry with Jeon Yeo-been.
The story is heartwarming and emotional. It is a story about love, loss, and second chances. The series will stay with you long after you have finished watching it.
Negative Criticism:
Some viewers have criticized the show for its historical inaccuracies, such as the depiction of scooters in a 19th century Korean school. While this is a valid criticism, it is important to remember that the show is a work of fiction. The creators of the show were not trying to create a historically accurate depiction of Korea in the 19th century. They were simply trying to tell a heartwarming and thought-provoking story.
If you are looking for a heartwarming and emotional time-travel romance, then I highly recommend A Time Called You. It is a unique and refreshing series that will stay with you long after you have finished watching it.
My thoughts:
I really enjoyed A Time Called You. It is a beautiful and moving story about love, loss, and redemption. The drama is full of heart and emotion, and it will stay with you long after you finish watching.
I understand why some people might be critical of the drama's plot holes. However, I believe that the drama's strengths outweigh its weaknesses. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.
If you are a fan of time travel dramas or heartwarming stories, I highly recommend A Time Called You. It is a drama that will stay with you long after you finish watching.

Gather my Tears
Vorab: Ich kenne das Original nicht, kann dementsprechend also keine Vergleiche dazu ziehen, aber:Ich liebe "A Time Called You".
Und dann fand ich A Time Called You. T_T - Shows. :D
Definitiv empfehlenswert! Ich bin ein bisschen lost, was gute Reviews angeht, aber ich liebe liebe liebe A Time Called You!
